I had this amazing dalmation, an unbelievable dog, he would chew gum, and had a heart shapped spot on his big fanny. he was hit by a truck while out for a walk, the person who hit him never stopped. i found out two days later because my mom was so sad. we cried for days, and even our other dogs were completely miserable. now though im far more careful and appreciative of my beloved pets

@iTZzArJuN It's a "Chow Chow", Shih Tzu and Chow Chow's are very different dog's, but both of them are imported from China, except Chow Chow is more in the northern parts of China, and Shih Tzu is imported in the west parts of China.

Can't believe 1,582 people didn't like this. I think it's adorable. We had a few Chows in our house at one point. One was red, the other was black. We named them Pongo and Perdita. You can guess what WE watched a lot as kids. They even had a few litters of puppies, and we miss them all. We ended up giving Perdita away to another family, and all the puppies. We would've had Pongo a few more years if some idiot hadn't let him out of our yard and then run him over. I miss him. He was a good dog.

These are VERY lucky dogs to have you! Wish I could have had a man like you to share my chow w/ during all those yrs. I just had him put to sleep b/c he was almost 15 yrs. old and he couldn't walk any more. Vet told me no amount of money in the world would make him well & he was suffering. Hardest thing I ever had to do. I stayed right there beside him when it was done. I was lying on the floor next to him crying & telling him he was a good boy and that I loved him. It broke my heart.

i love chow chows. he's a blue chow chow and he's really nice, except he will not let anyone except my family pet him. it takes him a while to get to know people... but its not that he's aggressive with them, he just moves away when they try to pet him. he's awesome :D

Chow Chow's are beautiful dogs. I also had a golden retriever chow mix that I just had to put down a few weeks ago. He was 16 years old, blind, deaf, and incontinent. He was up and down for a while, every time we thought we would have to put him down he started an uphill climb. He finally went down hill in February, his arthritis had gotten so bad he couldn't get up to eat. I will miss him. We called him Simba, because he looked like the lion cub when he sat.

@MsStacyLondon almost same story to me! I had a german shepherd! I loved him so much but then he got sick! We couldn't do anything we were healing him for like a month but nothing happened so we had to put him to sleep! His grave is in my backyard and i was crying for about like 3 weeks!
