I would call them indie pop, buts its hard to label a lot of indie bands. Like the Fleet Foxes are up for a Best Folk Album Grammy but I've always considered them to be Indie Baroque Pop.

Who on earth wishes indie was mainstream? You would rather these song be on a pop music radio station? I don't think so. And not to mention indie would cease to be indie if it was mainstream. And thats not me being a hipster. Thats being honest.

@quiet451 Popularity is not motivation. Its inspriation. They obviously were inspired to make the music they do without having to sell millions of records. When a band becomes popular they cease to be indie and actually become pop. And thats not something people like me want. And if you haven't noticed when bands like these get "famous" the change to please their new found crowd. You know how many artist change b/c of that? Some bands don't want to be "popular" or "famous" and love their fans.

@stmbt22 For one I like to keep certian genres seperate. And two I don't want to hear Lady Gaga then Tennis then Katy Perry. And three: Fame changes an artist. And as an indie artist it could be for the worst. I like music that pleaseses the genre it came from. Not conform b/c of popuarity. And its also about management. Once you get big, get signed to a major record label. You sell your soul to the devil. They now have control over where you go and how they want you to sound. And I don't agree.

Love the instruments and melody. The solo in the middle was spot on. The vocals just seem a little too sweet. I like to hear a woman's voice sound natural especially when the music behind her is modest.
