Am I the only one who senses awkwardness when they switch to electric guitars? It's the acoustic vibe that I really dig and I think the Avetts excel with.. maybe PGFC excluded, but then it's the transition from acoustic to electric that seals the deal in that song. It's the roots feel of the acoustic instruments that drew me to these guys and it's what sets them apart from other bands. Still the best music out there out there by a long shot!

New album, can't wait - ILY sounds great - not sure about the other two as i have heard them a ton of times live already and am quite used to the way they sound that way.....perhaps they'll grow on me - of course it won't stop me from getting a couple copies of the album or the pre-order w/extra's

I'm so pumped about this album! I downloaded the ep already too. What'd you think? I loved I&L&Y and Laundry Room already. Kick Drum Heart still has to grow on me a bit. I liked it alot better live. Although my wife is a budding TAB fan and she digs it. She likes the faster stuff. I went nuts when I saw the track list and Laundry Room was there. And it Spread, and Tin Man are magic too. Psyched!!
