how can you set the pad volume for each pad and how do you trigger different sounds in Logic ?

dude you are the f-ing best! is there a way once you record samples off the internet to edit them because you can hear me click on the play button on the WAV files on every 1! it's killing me!!!! please help me there's got to be a way to edit the length or to snip out the "play button click" i'm gettin gon each of my samples... thanks!
