looks nice, but i would like to see you do some bigger comboes, those 1 - 3 pounds with 5 - 10 sek break each times dosent show much. You look great and have great skills, but why not show them some more with another video where you do some 3 - 6 pounds, and 1-3 pounds with only 2 seconds break.
like u do in this video u could continue for hourse without getting tired ;)
yo dude can u help me decide? should i continue using mine? its a bit shorter than me but when i get into my boxing stance , the height of the punching bag and me are almost the same thnx
@kennethxx100 if you can afford a new bag then i would go with a new one preferably a hanging one. if funds aren't there at the moment then make do with what you got.
i just started hiting a everlast free standing bag and i also do not have any training but when i hit my bag it hurts my wrists during hard hits and after my training could this be because my wrists are not conditioned enough? please respond id appreciate it
@azfryguy nope. im about 140 5'8. ive had someone who fights at 205 do thai kicks on it and the most it will do is shift a shiz load from the kick. because there is so much weight placed in the bottom from the water it would be very unlikely you could knock it over with a jump or kick. check out my review where i show a demo @ JoeGotchaHnF
@azfryguy oh thats wierd. i have seen some thai style ones where the holding tank is actually like half the size so not as much water can fit in it. that could be the problem or there isn't enough water/sand in it. thanks for stoppin by and good luck. any other questions feel free to comment here or comment on my main channel JoeGotchaHnF
For self taught, thats pretty impressive. To add some constructive critisism: You need to box more with your hips, especially on your power shots, follow through. Also, watch that guard, you're not retracting fast enough at times, leaving your face open to attack. Fair enough, it is bag work, but bad habits become hard to break...
@94amaru a hanging heavy bag is way better. i got this for free so i guess i cant complain much about it but definitely go for a hanging one if you can afford it and can accommodate it. check out my main channel JoeGotchaHnF for a review on this bag and new boxing and training vids
@NazTheGreat np man and also you can check out my review of the freestanding bag on my main channel JoeGotchaHnF thanks again for checkin this vid out and im glad it helped
hey that ain't bad at all man! for self taught it's really good! Just try to work on more combos, like 4-5 punch a row, now your in a good power training, even tho it's a free standing, try to move more if your room let you. Other than that you have good speed, clean punch and good power. Keep it up, you're on the good way bro.
@bschrock1977 thanks. i got new boxing vids on my main channel JoeGotchaHnF if you're interested in checking those out and im giving away a free pacquiao mayweather tshirt. instructions are in my newest vid on that channel.
to add to my last comment, its all about having your lungs at a seprate rythm(right word?) then your body movements. your chest will get bigger if you're doing it right.
that breathing sound actually isnt a good idea. to rage for 15 seconds requires learning to breathe without doing that "pshch" sound. i know its hard to get out of it but its good for your lungs to stop doing that. running with occasional sprints is a good idea... and i mean sprinting so hard you need ultimate determination, or a coach to trip you if you don't lol.
@bluwakpa just filled almost to the top with water. it weighs over 200lbs. i could sprint at it and throw a flying side kick and it wouldnt get knocked over. it may go 45 degrees and then slide over but its not going down. i got more boxing vids if your interesting @JoeGotchaHnF thanks
@Judokkaa is it possible that you got the one that holds less water or sand? some of them are smaller which means it holds less over all material to weigh it down. if your interested in more workout and boxing vids you can check out my main page JoeGotchaHnF thanks man
thats not even a heavybag. those r used in karate n stuff mostly. n its called a standbag. n i dun recommend doin uppercuts on those bags bcuz there r actually uppercut bags that r designed for ppl to work their uppercuts. i have a heavybag n i usually do jabs n hooks. i dun do uppercuts. very good to train for low roundhouse kicks too. but i admit this is pretty impressive for person who was never trained n jus by watching. good form. u should definitely go to a boxing gym n get trained.
@LilShaggy82@20101470 it is a heavybag. a "free standing" heavybag. Just like there are different kinds of heavybags like uppercut bags, tear drop bags, thai/banana bags and so on.
@gunshinestateG most fill it with water because its easier to deal with then sand but i think sand will be the more stable choice. i myself use water. you can slip the foam padding up and you'll have a twist top at the top of the base. just twist it off and fill it with a hose or funnel some sand in.
@gunshinestateG thats wierd. must be a defect in production in the way the plastic was molded. i say exchange it if you can if it continues then just return it or if you really want to make use of it then just use sand
@gunshinestateG i actually got mine for free heh. mine leaks a little bit too but luckily its at the top part and only happens after pounding away at it for a little while. you can try to patch it up with some sort of putty if your willing to go that far. like i said sand is a good alternative and unless its a real giant hole it wont leak out.
@freetemplatesforall Well im sure tyson likes to do his own thing but its still good to use a jump rope to jump and not to strangle some one with. Also i hope you realize you are comparing yourself tyson lol its stupid that you would compare yourself to any athlete of any profession. Considering you are just some guy off the streets is just insulting to all boxers.
@LilShaggy82 never compared myself to tyson at all. @20101470 was stating that one should not do uppercuts on a heavybag and that they should be done on uppercut bags. i used tyson as an example of someone who has been known for devastating uppercuts and has always done them on regular heavy bags. never said im doing uppercuts on this because tyson does. im saying that theres no problem with doing uppercuts on it because its been done for over a hundred years.
i want free standing punching bag i dont know if the everlast is better but i heard some good thing about wave master plz can u give me some help i want to strike like you
How long have you been training to get tired so fast. Don't take this as a criticism but as an advice and watch some videos with techniques. There are so many on the internet.
instead of 'hitting' the bag, practice 'working' the bag. hard to explain without having a real coach. lighten up/ practice throwing about 200 punches a round: help you relax and builds endurance.
you drop your hands and pop your head up when you step backwards. keep your elbow higher when throwing the left hook. single double and triple jabs: dont rely only on throwing @20 power jabs a round, practice rounds of @200 jabs each hand.
