  • Is it my imagination, or is John S. wearing Captain Kirk's pants?

  • They look like they were on speed lol

  • Love and groovin', I suppose that about sums up the sixties for me anyhow. all that and the come zither sounds of the LSP. I'm sorry but I really love the sound they make. Happy infectious energy.

  • This music bring us the 60's Happiness!!!!!

  • John Sebastian changed his name and went on to found Microsoft. It's true.

  • I just came across this. Played it about 20 times. At first I found the balls of my feet tapping, both at the same time. Then it moved to the heels, again both at the same time. Based on these observation, I conclude that I really like this , so thank for uploading it!

  • @PraiseDog Thanks, and it has the same effect on me too :)

  • @PraiseDog You're feet start tappin' and you can't seem to find how you got there...

  • coolbluelights you can visit bojofilms dotcom to see a promo of a film im directing, but there is no footage in the promo, we just shot it. New trailer coming soon.. stay tuned.. i just watched this video again, i cant get enough of it! lol

  • Bitchen, baby.... YEAH!

  • i like this live version better than the recorded one.

  • Notice how everyone wanted to look like John Lennon

  • Im a filmmaker and love to write/make films about time travel, and i have to tell you videos like this is one of the reasons why! Thanks to the poster!!!

  • @verygaryshow

To make the search a bit easier I recently put up a better quality version of the clip check the link!

  • @novanexdds your efforts are appreciated!!!!!

  • @verygaryshow wow that sounds interesting! I'm fascinated by time travel, where can I see your work?

  • I would love to find out who the girls are at 52... i wish i was a teenager back then! :).. This is probably my favorite video of this song.. the energy is amazing...I love the way Zal looks at john at 49.. he always seemed like he had so much fun! The videos of the Spoonful always make me so happy.. what a great time it must have been. now WHO are those GIRLS!?

  • What happen to the false start to this video???? Some of Zally's great work...

  • Has any other rock musician ever played an autoharp onstage?

  • They kicked ass on this show...

  • awesome live

  • WOW the 3 girls at :52,,,super cute,,wish i had a gf like that back then,,but i was only 9 at that time,,days I miss so much,,wish I could relive those days..

  • @paulfbest Amen. The sixties- which, musically, started 2/9/64 and petered out, pardon the expression, in the early seventies, had magic, and the girls were a major part of that. It's part of why I learned guitar, and still gig 46 years later- tomorrow solo and on Thursday with my son. Wow. I do believe in magic. Thanks, John, for all those marvelous songs.

  • @paulfbest I agree those girls are into it and having a great time. I was 16.

  • Guys had fabulous hair back then... these days you see guys with "the Bieber," and he didn't even start that style.

  • Does anyone know where this excellent footage is from?

  • guitarist is Marky Ramone

  • @brandys2

Marky was a baby when Loving Spoonful hit the parade

  • for some reason. I LIKE HOW THEY ARE DANCING LOL

I MISS MUSIC THAT GIVE YOU SUCH A HAPPY AND LOVING FEELING :)

  • i agreee

  • @sexiiqueen3000 That is why it was called the "Good Time" music of the Lovin' Spoonful. I was 15 at this time. I have all the albums.

  • Oh the weird things I find on youtube. I wonder if anyone recognized themselves in this? lol

  • @pastageek2 To respond, ...I am of the age to have been there. I love watching these bands. Yes, we looked liked that. The girls grooving at :51 are having a lot of fun. They are grandmothers today. I enjoy the artists doing their songs at the time. I will watch them do it today. I got to shake John Sebastian's hand in 1988 at a small Wisconsin venue. Enjoy the artists when you get to see them!

  • @spook394 meh, I never goto physically see artists. Just isn't worth my temporal space. I'd rather be eating a pizza. om nom nom nom.

  • Wow,I can't believe this is live....very rare for back then. You can hear the backround vocals were a little weak, but still sounded good.

  • @GordonComstock08

agree I have been lloking for that footage and can't find it,,but i watch that one no less than 50 X's..so i am happy to have seen what it was like in S Cali in those EXCITING DAYs,,love the 3 girls rockin in the audience..Wish I had either of the 3 as a gf back then,,but i was only 9,,

    GREAT DAYS back then!!!

  • @paulfbest , agree with you Paul.. i wasnt even born yet, so im out as far as having them as girlfriends back then!! ...What a riot

  • Zal getting busted sucked. Zal getting shunned sucked too. Zal did the right thing regardless. Dope dealers are the scum of the earth. Weed shoulda been legalized 80 years ago with booze. Booze kills millions through liver disease, violence, and drunk driving.

Weed makes You hungry. Don't be ignorant the cops don't destroy confiscated narcotics, The French Connection smack was resold after the cops cut it and sold back to the dealers. Legalize it and TAX it.

    That's called successful economics.

  • Zal got busted for weed and gave up his dealer to prevent getting deported. He was shunned by the rock establishment and went back to Canada.

  • Zal Yanowski, lead guitar

  • who is the guy with the guitar whos dancing around

  • A real classic every bit as good as anything from Mowtown.

  • What was the deal when somone got busted...Zolly had to quit the band and was regarded as a snitch or something

  • sorry to be so corny but: i love you spoonfuls. what a band gee, they could do evrything without being ashamed of the product, voodoo in my basement or rain on the roof. thank you for your good vibes, you coolest of them hippie cats. i love you even more than the byrds and the beatles, your music is like a good spirit , thanks for the vibes again, the fun and love that comes from your music. you make it sound so easy, thats the highest achievement in greatness, lightness and depht! love you all!

  • very well said polaroyeds !!~

    ;))

  • @polaroyds NOT corny at all.. i feel the same way... i wasnt even born yet during this concert, but sure wish i was around back then. I especially love those girls! LOL!!!

  • What a terrific live version of a magical song. What show was this on?

  • Big TNT - 1966

  • wrong song------------------------
