  • nice mix of characters turn up the mic of the guy 2nd to the left

  • christmas vacation is insanely funnier than the original vacation.

  • 80's are John Hughes.

  • The janitor character used to be the popular kid. They his picture in one of the trophy cases in the hall at one point. You really have to pay attention to catch it.

  • is that Jimmy Kimmel?

  • I think to explain the comment at 13:37, saying the janitor is the smartest, if you watch the opening credits part of the movie where there are shots of the school's hallways, you'll see the janitor's picture with some reference to him being the "student of the year" or something to that effect; this helps in showing why he may have such insight into the rest of the characters. He knows what happens when you go from the highest points to the lowest.

  • Mike Foltz owns.

  • Who's William Holden?

  • Without a doubt, it may be one of our most viewed shows by the biggest bunch of sweaty muppets I could've ever imagined. We ALL thought a lot of John Hughes and were quite effusive with our praise for him. Yet, these silly little cunts act like we all keep their grandparents in the teeth. Yes, RIP John Hughes. AND, I hope a few of these Too-Cool-for-School dildoes join him soon. Yes, I have no problem wishing death on commenters. But, I'm glad they posted a comment. Viva John Bender!

  • Wow, these guys are really not interesting.

  • Foltz - what a CHEST

  • who's the prick with the gold chain & unbuttoned shirt (oooh look at me! i have chest hair! :P)

  • Who is the fat fucker in the unbuttoned shirt and the tight khaki pants? He has no business reviewing films. What a bitch.

  • Jeff is the only one there who i think is the real movie fan. Hes the only one there ho can admitt that just because he doesnt like a film doesnt mean its badly made. i like this show though.

  • @colemartinst123 Thank you i just try to put my opinion out there it is not law

  • wtf is this? these self proclaim film critics who pose like they know what they're talking about.. i could have more insight about john huges talking to a wall.

  • Yeah, I think I have to agree with you Yellow, it seems a lot of things Hughes wrote into his movies went right over these guys heads...

  • It's weird. I like the two guys in hats. But the other two guys are coming off like arrogant, misinformed, spoiled brats.

  • Actually Eric Cohen is probably the most film-literate panel member - it's just that they are the later Gen Xers who finished high school in the nineties, rejecting the eighties and worshipping Tarantino was the rage.

  • @thejobloshow i actually love 80's films and only like tarantino

  • That Foltz fucker looks like a gayer Ray Liota.

  • The open shirt, man, funny stuff.

  • Ray 'Liota' Doesn't exsist.

  • This would be cool if...

...Nope, sorry this was terrible and more like a bad date.. You just want it to end..

  • rip john hughes. planes trains automobiles, classic

  • chest hair + gold chain, REALLY?!?

  • 3:06 Shouldn´t that the "Michael The Fonz" instead?

  • you guys are amateurs and your reasons for disliking his movies are ridiculous!

  • I love John Hughes' films, but the only thing epic about this video is its fail.

  • I don't like these guys.

  • RIP John Hughes He made some of the funniest movies EVER made. He had a real skill for creating unforgettable characters and classic comedic dialogue. He knew what it was like to be a teen in the 80's.

  • R.I.P REST IN CINEMA JOHN

  • Sorry but i could only watch 7 mins of this. These guys dont know what there talking about. R I P John Hughes.

  • ain't that the truth, and they call it epic?! they know shit but are presented like some cool experts. J.H. for ever

  • have some respect, dude. a guy has just died. regardless of whether you like his films or not, don't put shit like this up on here where people who care and love him and his work are gonna read it. dick.

  • Blame your parents on that one you fucktard.

  • Andrew Clark: "...and an athlete..."

Allison Reynolds: " ...and a basket case..."

    Claire Standish: " ...a princess..."

    John Bender: "...and a criminal..."

Brian Johnson: "Does that answer your question?...

    "Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club."

    RIP John ..

  • John,

Thanks for the movies growing up. I'm 36 now and so I so was a teen in the 80's. Your films meant so much to us all ..

    Brian Johnson:

" Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain..."

  • whoa u guys are awful

  • Like the others, It was unique in it's own way, but ultimately had classic JH feel. The music, the style, the drama, the comedic moments, the full characterisation, the sweet ending.

Like the others, giving a great reference to what it was like in the 80's. In this case

    , being released in1987.

  • Compared to previous efforts. It seemed more serious & tense in a lot of areas. However, still having many similarities & common themes throughout. I've only just discovered the film fairly recently & have only watched it once so far. This film should have got way more of a mention. It completes the double trilogy perfectly. Check out the 2 excellent three film special edition DVD collections for proof.

  • William Holden as Ferris Bueller? WTF?!

  • From now on I'm gonna argue that Candy's wife is in the trunk...what a great idea lol.

In all seriousness, Planes trains is one of my favourite comedies with probably one of the most ballsy endings to a film I've ever seen.
