  • do you have some south african in your accent?

  • doof kah doof doof kah! lmao

  • i really like the way you teach !! it's a lot more beneficial than most teachers! the beats that go with the strum patterns help people pick up other patterns eventually... that's how i learned anyways!! Great job and keep it up!

  • thanks I am learning to play my first song, thanks Wayne.

  • I saw pearl jam last monday, and they played this song. absoulutly amazing. I love pearl Jam.

  • I enjoy this song, but what does it have to do with Pearl Jam? Those guys were not even born when this song came out.

  • @RobertGary1 Sure, we mention that in the video.

For better or worse though, many people who are looking for the song have heard it as Pearl Jam's cover. This makes it easier to them to find.

I understand your point though, and realised we didn't include Wayne Cochran in the video details here. I've just made some changes.

  • i tried looking at 3 other video but none of them really explained strumming patterns or anything. this one really helped great teacher

  • very good.

    thank you

  • I'm working on improving my skills (especially with that stop thingy with the right hand), but I gotta say...you're an AWESOME teacher!

  • Excellent lesson for beginners. You take the time to go over the rhythm in detail, which a lot of people leave out; plus I learned a new way of playing the E minor chord. Definitely 5 stars.

  • muy bueno

  • how does that guitar go i like the takamine

  • good suggestions. I like doing that all the time with C chord

  • I like they way he describes it, he explains it really well, and I much prefer the second way he explains it when he uses his ring finger in the same place because I find it hard to switch into the C cord, and this video helped so much, great vid, thanks!

  • thank you.

  • The Best

    Easy to understand. For beginner.

  • It was actually done originally by Wayne cocrane:) There have definitely been a lot of covers for this song so it's easy to forget who originally wrote it!
