love this song...so dark and twisted...and its driving me crazy cause i know ive heard this before, i just don't know where...and for some reason this song reminds me of the game Deus Ex lol
One of the best production decisions was to set the film in the fashion /architectural style of a bygone era to limit the sense to which the film would be felt "dated" by preceeding generations. The music is a wonderful combinaton of the industrial 90s movetment (incorporating the machine that runs everthing in the film) and just some rather classical chords to keep it resilient in the years to come. I want to say underrated, but just unnoticed gem, that is really a predecessor to The Matrix!
@TippingWater Or maybe it´s just too bored and weird, not for "nothing" it was not a sucess movie, and you are one of those idiots that believe they are superior just because you like weird movies that no one else likes. Fucking bastard!!
Really great film. Rufus Sewell, Jennifer Connelly, Kiefer Sutherland, William Hurt were great. The 90's had so many overlooked & underrated SCI-FI films - this one, FutureSport, The Time Shifters, Virtuosity, Tha Lawnmower Man, Alien 3, Space Truckers, Strange Days, The Arrival, Mimic, The Apocalypse (1997), Virus, RoboCop 2, Them, Body Snatchers, eXistenZ, Sphere, Judge Dredd, Demolition Man, Anaconda, The Shadow Men etc
There's a song called Fictional Reality by Num Num that slightly reminds me of this song. It's some what lighter and doesn't have the same notes or beats or whatever. I don't know shit about music so forgive me if it's not a replica. It's more like Sigur Ros in an implosion-scape from the machinery mechanics of dystopian reality. Back to repeating this song now.
I remember back in the day when this first came out, nobody knew who it was. I managed to download the trailer off the web and burn it to disc and took it to an industrial club. I told the DJ to trust me and play the video though no one could see the visual. It was the music I wanted to be broadcasted....I have never seen so many goths and rivetheads standing there in shock at what they just heard, they all thought the world was ending.....then they wanted more.
Brilliant piece of music, loved this song since I bought the soundtrack when the movie came out back in 97 i believe(not sure). It does a great job of epitomizing the classic Industrial feel. But yeah WAY too short. Hughes Hall is a genius to write this piece of music.
I think that these piece of music is a brilliant piece of work, and I dont think it's the chopped up piece of audio that we have here.
I wish Hughes Hall was a personal friend, and would allow me access to the longer version (which I know, in my heart of hearts. that he created before this edited bone. that was thrown to us) so I could listen to it all the time.
those are actually cadavers; the character Mr. Hand said
"you've seen what we are; we use your dead, as vessels."
they basically gut a human corpse of everything except the bones and skin, and then, one of the strangers, a jelly-fish like alien creature, crawls in where the nervous system used to be.
yup; those are actually all cadavers being used as "suits."
download atube catcher and enter the url of the you tube video all the way at the top, copy and paste that into the url box on the atubecatcher and change th fite type to MP3
If you play WoW and think that takes skill, you need to go outside and breathe the real air. But maybe not, maybe you play "No-Life", you start in your mums basement.
it does take skill retard, play it at 70 and end game raid. Also your comment is nothing short of retarded, i am outside more than i am on WoW, i have a girlfriend and a large range of friends... idiot.
@RoCkStArRx89 5 is like an A and "fucking 5" is an A+, so you underrated it. Its fucking 5 out of fucking 5. (this comment is purely sarcastic and joking.)
Dark City has, and will always be my favorite movie of all time.

The score is lonely in a beautiful way. It almost makes a person think on a subconscience level.
