This is probably because you didn't get active. If you miss the active or don't get it, you will less likely get headshots (sometimes) it just damages the enemy. Also active reloads for the sniper makes the bullet more accurate (for blindfires etc...)

gears 2 is shit, chainsaw is only stoppable by the host and that only ever happens like 0.01% of the time the sniper is shit without an active reload most of the time even with an active and lagg effects it much more than gears 1, shotgun shots on the floor either behind u or under u if u shoot after u have been running (it does trust me try it) frags hit u from miles away even if ur behind something and in some maps u can get tagged tho the wall like jacito. gears 1 = much better

cup0water is right. they did make the chiansaw pratically invincible in gear 2 and it's all people do. after you do get stunned you can immeadietly start reving it up again. in gears 1 it took forever to rev it up again.

but in gears 2 they made it to easy. the game creators made it easier because its there favorite weapon. same with the smoke greanades and the crawling action. the only reason they put stun smokes is to stop people from tagging people on the floor with there smoke.
