Now, I am a helicopter pilot, but something seemed weird with that flare to me. It seemed kinda iffy. Thats all. Beautiful aircraft the 380

The A380's porpoise oscillation is really clear in this video - here the period is about 7 seconds - must make for some queasy stomachs up front. Like being on the Irish Sea in a ferry to Dublin :) Man Jett203 your videos are in a class by themselves!!

@reddeadd 2 reasons: the width of the wings is greater than that of the runway itself. If they had all 4 engines rigged for RT, the outer ones would possibly kick up debris which could damage the aircraft. Secondly, the 380 doesn't actually need RT as the brakes on the 22 wheels are sufficient for safe braking in most instances. However, the FAA demanded the 2 inboard at least operate for safety reasons. Having said that, full RT is only effective at speeds above 80knts.
