It's very clear, just from this series of videos, that Edward Said was a smug, self-contented ivory-tower codger who only used his scholarly position to inflame anti-Western sentiment within academia. Anyway, I think Said died a while back, and good riddance to him.

Edward Said was born in Jerusalem which has had a Jewish majority since 1860.

In 1948, 5 Arab armies attacked Israel, making Edward Said stateless. Jordan illegally occupied Jerusalem, so I guess he should blame Jordanians for his exile.
