Check out Erik Karol who use to sing for Dralion of Cirque du Soleil. He's voice's not that high but it he is a very, very strong, steady, counter tenor. He doesn't sound like he is forcing it.

honey, posers don't take it seriously...the boys who try to sing up there and you think there is a cat dying. i wore the wig for a comedic effect, yes; but it was also to get somewhat into character. i guess it's a good thing i didn't wear the wedding dress i contemplated wearing. you need to learn it's all about feeling it....and giving the audience a show. i suppose you'd have to know me to understand.

Yeah! I totally agree! I think what makes it so pure is that the tenor is sort of mixing with the higher notes, while a saprano would just have the normal high pitches. Its sort of like its balancing out itself. At least thats how I see it.

I agree. Girls voices (Even though I'm a girl) are way more complcated than guys. We like wave our voices around the wildest we can, while they stick to a smoother rythm when it comes to high notes. Though this sometimes isn't true. I guess both are answers sort of work. ALl in all, they sound really good!
Oh, quite agreed. :-) I don't even know if it's the difference in vibrato, though. Listen to Michael Maniaci on here, and you'll hear he has a lot of natural vibrato. But there's still something really pure and uniquely masculine about his voice. He's fantastic!
Have you heard of Vitas? If not, just type his name into you tube. He is a HUGE success in Russia and Asia. He is a countertenor who performs an interesting range of music.
