Thankyou ascello, for sharing your gift with the YouTube community. I was surfing for some Gabriel Faure piece and came across you playing this gem that I have never heard before.
you did great! I thought you could have put more emotion in it though and slow down the tempo because its an emotional piece, but you did very good! BRAVO!
Breathtaking. You play with a depth of beauty and feeling that reminds me of Jacqueline du Pré. And you are beautiful too; if I were a younger man, my heart would be broken. Give my compiments to Daria as well, who is also wonderfully beautiful and talented.
Thank you! Jacqueline du Pré is my favourite female cellist, and it's a great honor for me to be compared with her(though I don't really deserve it, I'm afraid...)
It will also be very pleasant for Daria, if I see her I'll certainly give your compliments to her, and she would also be pleased:)
:( You have lovely vibrato, but you must work on the out of tune notes! Sometimes when you shift, your fingers go out of place. You need to have someone hit the notes on the piano slowly and practice shifting to them, slow, and hitting them dead on, totally in tune.
I like very much your interpretation of the middle section. Well done. :)
This is such a fun piece to play. It reeaaaaaaally sucks when you only have one rehearsal to get it together with the accompaniment (sp?), because it's a BEAST. My accompanist got off... oh well.
it's because how she sit... she hunch, that's why all the position (shoulder, hands) are become incorrect. actually she got to set the end tail longer so the cello will stand taller so you won't hunch... and so the shoulder won't by stressed out...
but dispite of that, it's still very good.
try to sit more relax and straight, don't hunch...
and also when you play, i love your expressions as you play. you get so into the music and you actually feel what you play. you definitely inspire me to practice more.. haha
you rush when there's running notes, take it easy, the music isnt going anywhere, take it slow, beautiful vibrato! awsomeness, dont sit there trying to make each note, steady, you're almost there, pretty good
Very beautiful interpretation.

Yes, thank you very much for your commentary! now I've come to hear false notes while playing, and I understand what was wrong with this piece

Very beautiful. I love the feeling you put into
your music. Very uplifting. I"m a 77 year old guy
just beginning to learn the cello and altho it's
a slow grind, I'm enjoying it more and more.
I'd love to see you perform. Please holler
if you come to Chicago. Also, I'm a graphologist and curious to see your handwriting and signature. Is it a possibility?

one more thing, the pianist are alowed to have a page turner, rather then turn it herself... LOL
it's a very virtuos page turning by the way... LOL
