  • I feel baited and switched!

This was less about Glen Beck and more about Penn's atheism.

Penn shouts "I'm an atheist!" the same way Mr Garrison shouts "I'm not gay!"

He's not saying it to remind US... He's saying it to remind HIMSELF!

OT: Glen Beck SUCKS and his head is filled with styrofoam popcorn!

  • Glenn is for Gay Marriage too.

  • I think that liberals tend to be much less tolerant and hate filled than conservatives in general. While Penn has likely gone on shows with numerous liberals and been friendly with them, I highly doubt if any conservatives have attacked Penn for associating with leftists. When Penn goes on a show with Beck, many people on the left attack him for even associating himself with Beck. While both the right and left are wrong and stupid about a lot of things, the left is more hateful and less tolerant

  • becks a dickhead, very simple i know but fuk it!!

  • the Manson analogy failed. Manson managed to seek out mental people with the right attitude to join his cult. Fox news and radio probes every home in america, and is the perfect tool to find the nut jobs with the right mindset to do violent things.

  • I find it funny and insane when Libertarians rant about no civil marriage. It's just not practical. There has to be a regular method of recognizing family groups in order to for the judicial system to deal with compensation for family member in regards to insurance, custody of children, inheritance and taxes etc.

  • @iMaDeMoN2012 I think when it comes down to it, libertarians are for civil marriage if they want. If you want to get married, here's a certificate. If you want all the legal advantages to being married you can apply for it as well. But in a full on libertarian government, all that custody, inheritance, taxes would not be as complex and insane how it is today in most 1st world countries.

  • Beck's job is to influence viewers using his media platform to instill his rhetoric to as many as possible. No different than any other talking head. But,There are fucked up people on edge already.Say,1 in a million. He has millions of listeners.Careless wording could do it.Would he be responsible? Maybe. He said we should handle Obama the Chicago Way after airing the scene which DeNiro kills dude in The Untouchables,Then asked who was patriotic enough to risk being wacked in order to wack em'. WTF?

  • @splurging247 I'm saying that was a ridiculously irresponsible way to make his point. He said this a year or two ago on Fox while waving a bat around and showing this guys crushed skull spewing blood and brains all over a table. He was mocking a 30's era gangster accent and seemed to be making a silly but genuine call to arms.I was surprised he didn't have his ass busted over it. It's probably here on YouTube somewhere, check it out and you tell me if you think he wasn't way the fuck out of line.

  • I think you did a good job on the Glen Beck show I had a good laugh at the convention bit.

  • NAIL

    ON

    THE

    HEAD

with the rhetoric talk Penn. I'm gonna use your example.

How big of a horrible self serving partisan politically and self absorbed piece of shit do you have to be to exploit a tragedy like MLK's death or Gifford's shooting to apply it for political gain?

  • I can understand why people would label someone a conservative if they want smaller government. It is a stupid thing to ask for smaller government. Yes corporations, we the people have absolutely no buy-in or control over you, here, have the fate of our children, go ahead, we're just the people, we don't need to have any say in how our affairs are run, take it. I dunno, doesn't sound very libertarian to me. or maybe I never knew what libertarian meant.

  • Huge Penn Jillette fan and Huge Glenn Beck Fan!

The reason is you both speak your minds without too much care for the response.

I love outspoken Mormon Fucks and Atheists Fucks!

  • I disagree that 8/28 was disrespectful. I'm a Libertarian, Marine, and I attended 8/28. It was a very respectful get together and even included the niece of Dr. King. The mall was left with less trash on it than when we got there and everyone enjoyed themselves and we honored several military heroes. Conversely, the rally run by the reverend had people waving false American flags with colors of green black and red and they wern't very pleasant as they screamed profanity on the street. My 2 cents

  • No reason to hate people because of their difference in political beliefs. I'm a progressive and I still love Penn and admire him. His view on social issues is fantastic; I just happen to respectively disagree on the role of government. At least he really believes what he says unlike some so called "small government" people. Sort of like Ron Paul. I believe a lot of views are dead wrong, yet I still like him and respect him. The one's I don't respect are the hypocritical hate filled people (GOP)

  • @samuraiblaze666

"The one's I don't respect are the hypocritical hate filled people (GOP)"

I was going to congratulate you for being a one of a kind Liberal who doesn't hate conservatives... but you can't help yourself.

Like who? Glenn? How come a Liberal argument is always based on the other side hating someone. Gay people, black people, women, children, illegal immigrants and the elderly, did I miss anyone.

Also funny how Glenn is in the news today for being harassed in Bryant Park.

  • @fishblades I was mostly kidding around with the GOP comment, the democrats are probably equally annoying to me (albeit for different reasons). My point still stands that I can respectfully disagree with conservatives who hold different views on the economy and government's role. However, I do not respectful the discriminatory and/or hypocritical ones which happen to be a large amount of politicians. Politicians by their nature are hypocritical though; it should be expected.

  • Animals are incapable of consenting to being eaten as well. When it comes to someone marrying a cow, perhaps we have to rely on shame to dissuade this action. More importantly, very few people want to marry animals. That's something you do just to piss off your parents. And to the comments a bit lower on the page... libertarians aren't supporting corporations over government, we are disgusted by their intermingling. "Free Markets Free Minds" not bailouts and targeted tax breaks.

  • Those still transitions are fucking cool, deliberate or not!

  • What kind of camera is that?

  • After this video was over, an ad for mormon.com played. WTF?

  • @benjaminjgrady I get Mormon ads all of the time, i think it's because i live in salt lake city

  • @benjaminjgrady business is business money is money hell if the Harry Camping wanted to put an end of the world ad he would let him money is money

  • Stop pacing!!!!

  • This is like making apologies to others for having a gay friend. ... 'I like him and he has nice things to me, but I am not having sex with him. I am not gay'. Don't you find it odd that you have to repeat the line, I don't agree with him on most of things. Over and over. What a peer pressure.. This is like a self flogging.

  • Just say whats on your mind. I mean...LOL

  • I'd say F*ck anybody you want but doing animals that's just a bit weird. Don't you think and it also could potentially spread disease.

  • @09tranm not to mention an animal is incapable of 'consent'

  • @carllarsen I know right. I'm pretty much with Penn on most of his topics but sometimes he's just a bit too loose you know what I mean. I mean come on doing animals really really now.

  • @09tranm Hey! Don't persecute me; you don't know what Daisy and I have together!

  • @Manik2Magik hahahaha Wait what?? I hope you're not seriously doing an animal(meaning non-human I know humans are animals too).

  • We don't need great minds like Penn staining their credibility by going on Fox!

    Shut down Fox!

    Shut down Fox!!!!

    Shut down Fox!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Joefest99 lol dont worry privately funded fox is still viewed more then publicly funded msnbc...everyone knows the liberal bull shit now since this moron is president.

  • nail polish?

  • how do you feel about Glenn Becks crying at the drop of a hat? think it's for ratings? i lost respect for the dude long ago. Penn for prez!

  • Penn, since you use this forum as a platform for your points of view it would be nice if you would question the interviewer on their points of views, instead of being a nodding head while the Host spins their snake oil pitch.

  • The Penn is greater than the Beck.

  • The blame is 100% with the person, & you can't dissect what influences a killer BUT you can MARGINALIZE those who use violent rhetoric, precisely because they are polluting the public discourse. Glenn Beck constantly uses this type of violent rhetoric, therefore he should be marginalized by anyone seeking to advance rational public discourse.

Of course, if your agenda necessitates appeals to emotion rather then intellectual debate, then Glenn Beck is your man.

  • While it may (or may not, for that matter) be true that we aren't sophisticated enough to dissect all of the influencing factors in a person's behavior, I think we are capable of discerning whether a factor would be a positive or a negative influence on the person, if it were to exist. i.e. people disagreeing with MLK, most likely didn't make JER less likely to assassinate him, (unless he had issues with those who were disagreeing with MLK, in which case it might've made it less likely).

  • 08:00 Simply untrue. Martin Luther King was perhaps the most hated man in America during the 1960s because he was bold, honest and loving in protesting injustice, segregation and war while preaching social justice and equality. King was physically assaulted, threatened, wiretapped and jailed by "the people who argued with him." Don't deodorize history, especially as a shield for someone so deplorably against social justice and equality.

  • Oh man, I love you man. I'm a libertarian, and I'm always having people call me conservative and I'm always having to correct them. Especially since, once I start talking to conservatives, they consider me to be a liberal. Idiots.

Thanks also for being a reasonable, tolerant individual. I hate it when people hate each other for thinking differently.

  • Why would it be disrespectful?

  • haha some people probably do think atheists sit around sending each other emails that just say "there's not God" "yeah I agree no God" "yeah for sure, definately God doesn't exist" "yes, yes, there's no God... for sure"

  • What's the big deal? Penn Jilette and Glen Beck are both douchebags.

  • You're video is hard to watch with all the camera changes, but if I close my eyes, you're a delight to listen to ! LOL

  • Glenn.. fucking.. Beck.. Please, die.

  • @im4everskilled Penn Tellers rhetoric is demanding Glenn Beck to die!!!! Call the gestapo!!!

  • @thetwistingroad Pen Jilette* (sp)

  • Comment removed

  • @im4everskilled

I would rather he just shut up and read up on Civil Rights.

  • @im4everskilled I guess the truth does hurt Democrats. :)

  • his dates are wrong.

  • @cqr80 - And if it's Keith Olbermann, they will go as far as not inviting any opposing views on their show at all.

  • Jammoexii what are you talking about, the left has virtually no presence in talk radio

It's Limbaugh, Oreilly, Beck, and Hannity along with a number of other right wing hosts, name 5 liberal talk hosts that combined bring in the numbers just Limbaugh does

What is it with this right wing persecution complex when newscorp owns most of the airwaves and physical media

  • We already have to deal with ads on the youtube video itself...you dont have to also include them in the video lol

  • And Penn, try reading some studies in sociology and how the viewing of violent imagery desensitizes young developing minds. Those who are exposed to violent imagery are more likely to develop behavioural issues. Its basic behaviourism/social learning theory (Skinner and Thorndike/ Bandura).

  • @SirWinstonChurchill In 1993, a study showed that the more homophobic a man was, the more likely they were turned on by homosexual pornography. You seem quite homophobic and your constant messaging about cheese and male sperm appears to justify my claims.

I will repost my message in hopes you will read it this time and maybe learn something.

  • @seattle8686

    So, you are an Islamofaggot?

    Good luck with that...

  • @seattle8686 I've learned that, on Youtube especially, there are just SO MANY people that it is just beyond pointless debate....good luck ;-)

  • @Racquelle40 Sometimes I like to just troll around with the trolls. It makes them upset.

  • @seattle8686 It starts to hurt my brain after awhile...;-)

  • Wait...Penn...you say that it was one really bad guy and that there wasn't a culture that said Martin Luther King should be killed?

That's a joke. Thats like saying there wasn't a culture in Germany that wanted Jews killed in the 40's. Come on, the 50's and 60's was a hotbed for racial intolerance.

  • I've been to jail and I can honestly say that the prison system is at the very least responsible for the molding of charactor of the Charlie Mansons of this world.

  • If Glenn Beck's speech is responsible for Jared Loughner murdering six people in Arizona, just imagine what an Islamic call to prayer five times a day at a Ground Zero mosque will do to NYC.

Islamic birth control is a bomb strapped to a ten year old child.

  • @SirWinstonChurchill You are equating peaceful Muslims praying to their prophet as the same as Beck who is antagonizing and putting it out there to millions that there are a few people out there who want to hurt you, take your guns, etc?

Its not just Palin and Limbaugh or Beck, its the whole atmosphere that they put out there.

If you say enough times that the Jews are evil and are plotting against you, some people will believe it. It happened. And it still does. Freedom has responsibilities

  • @seattle8686

moderate muslim = out of bullets

You ate the jizzlamic sperm cheese...

  • @SirWinstonChurchill And I have Muslim family members and they are more American then you'll ever be. As for your weird comment, it appears you have some fantasy you want to fulfill. Enjoy your cheese and however you serve it.

  • If there's a giant left wing propaganda machine that controls 80 or 90% of talk radio, and a lot of it is about how important it is for left wing radicals to own assault rifles so they can defend themselves from Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich etc., and then people listening to it start knocking off right wing politicians - it wouldn't be totally crazy to point fingers at the people basically advocating assassinations (in addition to any psychotic individuals involved).

  • @jammoexii Exactly.....and its funny, O'reilly and Palin come out and say that left wingers should be held accountable for being hate merchants for pointing out what they themselves said....so in their mind, you shouldn't get upset at those invoking hate and fear, but you should hold accountable those who call them out...unbelievable.

  • @jammoexii who advocated assassinations? what evidence exists that connects Beck or Palin to the vicious acts of a 'Communist Manifesto' loving madman? why is it that leftists can issue death threats and not be held accountable, but one man using a figure of speech is deemed the bane of humanity? we must look at this in an objective manner (I'm no fan of the progressives or neocons) if we really do want to get to the bottom... a man's voluntary actions are his own responsibility, and his alone.

  • @umbilicaltapeworm right, because no one ever influences anyone.

  • Squarespace fail?

  • Having watched this vid from your channel and not this page itself, I would have said it was nice to hear your opinion.

Reading the comments here... apparently the simple mention of his name causes a political shitstorm.

But I don't think you disagree with him on as much as you think. Partisan issues? Sure you will. But what he's trying to accomplish? I think you'll agree.

Bringing back Honor, and value of Truth.

    Supporting Charity over forced giving.

    and Belief more towards optimism.

  • Glenn Beck is a jackass. I don't even care about his politics, he's just a goofy ham acting buffoon.

  • so you don't talk with people and you automatically disagree with them on everything if they aren't atheists?...because i'd for sure say you have more in common with beck politically than you don't penn

  • how true, how true, how true Penn

  • Do you still stand by your comments now, Mr. Jillette?

  • @bindlessMoredom He's a principled man. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't.

  • @ArmoredFelix Would you stand up and publicly say that Jared Lee Loughner would have committed the act that he did even if Sarah Palin had not put Congresswoman Gifford in crosshairs?

  • @bindlessMoredom Not regarding the fact that you completely misunderstood what I was saying, Yeah, I'ad say he would. You're so moronic that it's not to be dismissed. I wouldn't give you shit but you're such a fucking moron you deserve it. Christ I have to live with you people?

  • @ArmoredFelix And of course typo. So say what you want.

  • @ArmoredFelix Retard.

  • @bindlessMoredom So you think the only thing that pushed him over the edge is Glenn Beck and Rush. LOL Fucking retard.

  • @ArmoredFelix It's not about pushing him over the edge, he was already over the edge. It's about identifying someone as a potential target for assassination. How would you like it if that happened to you?

  • @bindlessMoredom This conversation you do not understand. God hates you and may he not have mercy on your soul.

  • @bindlessMoredom Let me define the difference for you. I'm not a parasite and I don't wish to tell you how to live your life. She was a parasite and wanted to control you. I'm glad she's dead and I wish I had the courage to do like this guy.

  • @ArmoredFelix

Are you praising him for killing that little girl? She was 9 years old, you fucking psycho!

  • @melora72 She got in the way, she died. There is no problem here. You fucking moron.

  • @ArmoredFelix you fucking psycho come and say in front of me that it was okay to kill Christina Taylor Green,

you evil scum, you will regret it.

  • @izaccy Coolface.jpg problem officer? I didn't say it was okay, "I said she got in the way and she died. There is no problem here. You fucking moron." Figure it out, I mean how could you fail to quote me properly when it's 4 comments down? I don't understand how you can function properly in society with such an obvious mental deficiency. I mean you could at least try to be coherent. Internet tough guys are usually not that bright though. I guess I have to understand that.

  • @ArmoredFelix I apologize if i sounded violent,

It did struck a chord with me, I have had a little girl in my family once shot,

she got in the way because she wanted to meet her congresswoman ?.

How about all the others did they also get in the way ? was the judge in the way, was the elderly who also died in the way, and after he shot her in the head, he was still going to reload, dont you think the pyscho would just continue on killing everybody, and not because they were in the way.

  • @izaccy In all honesty I'm merely trolling, obviously Jared is an evil, evil man. But you know trolls, if I wouldn't troll this it would mean that I don't have the courage of my convictions and nothing is more important to a troll than that. Not even some poor little girl.

  • @bindlessMoredom No one can say 100%, but I'd say he would have snapped and killed someone regardless. Probably not that day, probably not that person, or people. But he would have snapped. And as fun as it would be to pin this on Palin, it's not hers to take the blame for. His family failed. His school failed. His friends failed. He was obviously disturbed and no one thought to think "Hmm, maybe he shouldn't have a gun. Maybe we should report him?"

  • Just watched a SAHWEET Oprah commercial right before this episode.

  • goats cannot give consent.

  • When he rocks back and forth and the camera goes back and forth it while he's going off about something it gives the impressino he is kinda coked out.

  • Ok that joke.... pretty funny actually hahaha!

  • Penn, what's with changing angles all the time, very annoying...

  • again the media is ignoring that in 1990, Glenn Beck raped and murdered a 10 year old girl, allegedly.

  • @massdrewski You may ask yourself, "Where did I hear this incredible story of pederasty and is it reputable?"

And if the answer is... someone made it up and I'm spreading the completely unfounded lie to damage someone's reputation unfairly..... Well, then that's pretty fucking despicable, you prick.

  • @GoodAvatar It allegedly happened. you prick

  • @massdrewski Right, and Obama allegedly spoke in secrecy with the heads of the giant banks and made a deal with them to shatter the American economy. Hey, it just allegedly happened, man. That's all. It allegedly happened.

  • @GoodAvatar coming from you that must be a lie. only because you are a prick and a youtube troll

  • @massdrewski Correct. I completely made up a ridiculous lie to demonstrate my point. It's ludicrous and even evil to knowingly spread such absurd slander, which is why you shouldn't, either.

If you want to say that Glenn Beck is a bad guy who needs to be argued and refuted, then by all means do so. With the right evidence and argument, I'd probably even support it. But demonizing someone through slander is irresponsible and dangerous because someone might actually believe you.

  • @GoodAvatar you had to demonstrate a point? more importantly you had to explain that you were making a point. If you have to explain something, then do the world a favor and just be quiet. Now, back to the rape/murderer...allegedly. I am simply going what they do at fox news. its journalism baby! Barack Obama is a Muslim? I love it.

  • @massdrewski I have yet to see Glenn Beck make any accusations he couldn't back up with evidence and support. He's a drama queen and I don't always believe in his sincerity, but aside from his theatrics as well as his straw man and slippery slope arguments, he's very much a shit kicker and a political muck raker, both of which I completely support against politicians. You, on the other hand, are supporting something that's completely fabricated for evil purposes. Do you even watch his show?

  • @GoodAvatar evil? in way are you allowed to decide what evil is. to use a word with that much power. come now. I do have a question for you. and would prefer if you did not respond. Why don't you just shut up.

  • @massdrewski Awwww, couldn't stand the heat of someone calling you on your bullshit? Life is hard when you're an obnoxious, dumb asshole, isn't it?

  • @massdrewski On a different note, I accuse you of being evil because you knowingly spread the LIE of pederasty and murder against someone whom you merely disagree with. You are spreading false information maliciously against someone who's done nothing to you and doesn't deserve it. Most importantly, you're spreading this nasty falsehood KNOWING that no proof is required for the accusation to stick. If you're going to accuse anyone like that, you'd better have something to back it up, you turd.

  • @GoodAvatar and you're blocked

  • Instead of using Square Space, you can use other FREE CMS sties and get about the same level of customization and usefulness.

  • We need more Penns and fewer Glenns in the world.

  • Comment removed

  • @DevonWhorton

"More Penns, Few Glenns = T-shirt slogan? :)"

    couldn't agree more.

  • @MrCherryGhost More Penns, Fewer Glenns = T-shirt slogan? :)

  • @MrCherryGhost

You represent everything that's wrong with youtube commenters.

  • "The people who argued with Martin Luther King were not responsible for his death because they argued with him." Smart.

  • Fuck Penn. In every video he trashes liberals, but only the extreme things they say. He never adresses the radical statements made by Beck. Such as, Obama raising taxes marginally is a step towards a totalitarian enslavement of America. He doesn't adress the extreme false statements that are rooted in the smaller government ideology. I would really like to see him acknowledge that.

  • @atki2828 To say that outright is to ignore all the unequivocally supportive things he says of liberals. He is a Libertarian, after all, and being a patron of that political philosophy, I also don't wholly support either side.

  • @atki2828 Penn actually DOES distance himself from Glenn and the Tea Party and I totally respect the decision and understand why. Having said that, they're on the same side politically and I don't think they really disagree politically. A lot of us lesser-government types feel tyrannized and think that the federal government has no mechanism for reducing power. As for "extreme false statements that are rooted in the smaller government ideology", I would love to know what those are. Do tell?

  • Like it or not, certainly fiscally, Beck and Penn have almost everything in common. They might not agree on abortion, but we're in an economic crisis. If abortion is the biggest issue for people, there's something wrong. Beck may have been more neocon in the past, but at this point, these 2 guys, besides the whole God thing, agree on an awful lot. I don't understand why Penn feels the need to explain himself to people who don't understand economics.

  • @DaveDoggOwns

Have you read/seen "the wave"? I stronly recomend it to everyone, its about how what happend in Nazi Germany could happen, how the people could accept it.

Its here on YT. It exmplains my point to the full. Its based on a true story.

If you belive that an whole class or even a whole people is solely responsible after being manipulated, but the manipulator himself is guilt free, then I don't know what to say:)

People are extremely susceptible to manipulation, especially in groups.

  • @DaveDoggOwns

I think you derail from the topic abit. This has nothing to do with free will or dividing humans into two "sets". Where did I say that?

It has to do with how far freedom of speech goes. You think it should give you unlimited power. I think the line should be drawn where you ecourage criminal actions against spesifc individuals or groups.

I think everyone should read some newspapers ect from Germany from the 1930-1940 period. Then you will see the true power of words.

  • I don't see the paradox. Both are responsible, ofc the one acting is more responsible than the one encouraging, but that does not mean the latter has no responsibility at all. And this responsibility increases with power.

    Did you watch the video?

Freedom of speech is here so that you can voice your ideas and express your view. If you are against abortion, you are free to say it. What freedom of speech was NOT intended for, was that you could post "death lists" with picture, names and adress...

  • @DaveDoggOwns

Everyone has responsiblity for what they do AND say. If I know you're gonna kill someone and don't report, I'm guilty too, I cant choose not to say it. The same way, if I know you are gonna kill someone if I say "the magic word", then I am guilty too.

This is what I'm talking about: /watch?v=Q6qHngc6mfg

You dodged my point with theaters. The point is that it creates a reaction that freedom of speech does not protect you against. Also, public theaters are normal.

  • This is wrong.

Freedom of speech does not remove responsibility for what you say. Glenn Beck has just as much power over his crowd, as the Pope got.

When the Pope said that condoms did not protect against aids, and you take into account he spoke to an uneducated people, you can bet more people will die from aids than if he didn't say anything. Are you saying he is 100% guilt free?

What if I scream "FIRE" in a crowded theater and 10 people die in the chaos that follows, am I without guilt?

  • @TheSaltyAdmiral WHAT???? That's the funniest thing I've heard all year! How on EARTH could you say something so impossibly ignorant and stupid? Glenn Beck has as much power over his viewers as the POPE does to Catholics??!!! Really?? You really think that? ROFL

My god, man. You DO know that Catholics consider the Pope the Vicar of Christ, right? Like, nobody gets to heaven except through the Catholic church and the Pope sits on top of that... Has a two way radio to God?

  • The guy who was on his way to shoot up the Tides Foundation, Byron Williams, was also one very, very deranged person, just like James Earl Ray. But guess where he got the idea from that the Tides Foundation was evil...!

  • Penn, your pacing literally make me sick. I have motion sickness for the first time in years after watching you pace like that.

  • Rock on penn.

  • @democratsdid911 Freedom isn't dangerous. Die conservatives.

  • Yes, Glenn Beck is a nutty religious mormon. And even though I am an atheist, I can still find common ground with him on other issues. Also, I have not seen Beck say or do anything hatefull or racist. Just as it is up to the religious to prove a god, it is up to the haters to prove glen beck has said or done anything racist.

  • Penn I love what you are doing here. I like your content but the two-camera thing is jarring and makes it difficult to watch. just thought I'd share.

  • I'm a lifelong and passionately committed Christian. The "crazy" thing GB did on 8/28 is your best friend. For several reasons. The largest reason is this: if the rally was only about politics, it would spark division (which would only encourage the "crazies"). By making it a matter of STANDARDS that are higher than politics, and RELIGION (most religious people in the US are PEACEFUL)... he has found things that can UNITE Americans IN PEACE, as we figure out our difficulties.

  • That "he shouldn't do it on that day" stuff is horseshit. Did 5% of people know what day that speech was on before Beck's event? Do they even know now? Does anyone usually celebrate it? So who cares?

Besides all that, either King's speech (and life) is a universal, shared part of our culture that can be acknowledged by all and commemorated however we see fit, or it's sectarian and exclusive, in which case it shouldn't be celebrated at all. I vote for the first one.

  • totally disagree with your main point, Glenn Beck has been spreading a conspiratorial mindset and feeding it violent imagery, perhaps every single case of evil doings cannot be directly traced to some external media, but Glenn beck is influencing the probabilities to shift towards violence against abortion clinics, lireals, and muslims.

  • How can you tell when a goat consents? Two shake of the tail for yes, one for no?

  • @P0mt3 Amen!

  • Really annoying with the constant camera changing. :( It's like some MTV video.

  • Take a breath Penn!

  • Reason # 524 of why liberals are annoying, they take everything so goddamn personally. As if going on Beck is a personal slap in the face to every thing they believe in. Fuck them, self righteous cunts!

  • Bill Maher is a gun owner control fanatic. This "libertarian" thinks it's a good idea that only the police and miltary use firearms. Maher is only a libertarian on the drug and god issue. Other than that he's an establishment socialist. Boring.

  • whats teller doing these days :o

  • Beck 2010 = Obama 2008?

He’s a teacher who enlightens and entertains. He decries the political status-quo. He whines that your 401K is in danger. He leans heavily on conspiracy theory and religion. His ideas are as dangerous as his effects on people. He claims evil has hijacked capitalism. He insists that basic needs are expensive. He rallies the ignorant in their crazy world. He talks of economic apocalypse in a soft reassuring tone. He peddles one Ponzi scheme after the next.

  • Sounds like they are trying to do a guilt by association type of thing. Not sure why the mentality exists that only people that are like minded can associate with each other. Heck, I'm an Atheist. My girlfriend is a Christian. We've gotten along just fine for the 4 years that I've known her and the 2 years that we've been together. We even plan on getting married and have had long discussions on what would happen with any children vs. them going to church. So far, everything has been just fine.

  • @andreo As long as you don't push each other's beliefs towards each other, then all will be hunky dory. As for your kids, i would suggest letting them choose on their own.

  • Defending Glenn Beck from charges of assassinating MLK? Why the straw man? Seems like Penn is creating some kind of smoke screen...what's behind the smoke?

  • @8pasta Wow, you're pretty retarded. Jesus fucking christ.

  • @BrettDunbar

Do you even know what a straw man is?

NOBODY accused Beck of assassinating MLK, so defending him from such nonexistent accusations is the easiest task Penn could set for himself.

  • Penn yr are you serious, yr a dyed in the wool Constitutionalist and you know it. LOL look it don't matter, it's all smoke and mirrors and you know it, Cheers

  • Don't let it get ya down Penn. You are 100 percent right.

  • It seems to me that small government would be completely in line with not restricting freedom; letting people love whoever they want, do whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone that doesn't want to be hurt, etc...

  • I like the funny underwear line. Can I use that?
