  • Dont know why but its one of my favourite Moogs ٩͡๏̯͡๏)۶ !!!

  • Around the 7 minute mark I'm hearing some sounds off of the 1983 Styx album "Kilroy Was Here," particularly the last couple of seconds of its lead single, "Mr. Roboto."

  • All the bass sound in "Broken Frame" of Depeche Mode was made with Moog Source... Great Sound !!

  • SO WERE CAN I BUY 1 OF THESE THINGS!?

  • @backw4rdsmarath0n ich denke die verstehen kein english lol.

  • Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

  • Overshadowed by the minimoog, but this a great synth; massive bass.

  • @anbreatnach It's very similar to a moog little phatty.

  • what a beautiful machine....love it

  • never heard of D.A.F. ?

  • sounds amazing

  • No match for the Moog

  • At 6:20 is sounds like synth from "Chris Brown - Look At Me Now" :)

  • I feel love ! yeah

  • i just sold one of these amazing synthesizer in very good condition. Amazing sounds and crazy possibilities. Visit my channel for more info and video reviews.

  • do you know any good low price synths?

  • @SmallFish616 The casio CZ-1000 (or 101) is usually pretty cheap. I got mine for about 140$ including shipping off of ebay.

  • jackson+boss syb-5+tube dist=sound like this

  • Who sends you guys all these synths?

  • This looks so STAR TREK-ish!

  • sounds like saying its sayinf talking lol

  • Would it be worth it to bid on one of these on ebay for $310 us dollars?

  • @ultimatenerd22 it would be worth it to bid on one of these on ebay for $800 if it works perfectly and is clean and looks really nice

  • i hear 'Do you wanna Funk' by Sylvester in there..... these sounds you have crackin out this crackbox are amazing...

  • how ( or where ) do i buy wun,

  • Love it!

  • this...is the power of moog!

  • Can you only control one parameter at a time, with the dial on the left? Or can you tweak various settings at once with the touch panel thing? Cheers!

  • Yes Yes Yes - Datt sind Sounds "Ich liebe es" :-]]

  • After watching this I decided to add this fantastic machine to my "collection". I just got it and can´t understand how you manage to use the internal sequencer as an arpeggiator, transposing the played sequence by playing different keys. It would be great if you could shred some light on this one.

  • @Jenskjarsgaard got the same question here...

  • Hello Marko, I have a Source too but it has a problem, the oscillator 2 can't be tune correctly to oscillator 1. Let's say you tune osc 2 in unison in the middle G key, well when that ley is perfectly in tune the pitch drits in the other keys and it gets worst the farer you are from the G key, do you know something that can help me? my tech couldn't help. Thanks

  • TRON!

  • When I walk in to a room. I wish it sounded like 2:05

  • Love the look and sound of this synth. Reminds me of early DM video clips.

  • the look alone of this synth is priceless :D

  • @cheerycherrily

    ;) yes!

  • Much better than Little Phatty!!

  • Awesome sounds, but it seems like real-time editing would be kinda sucky compared to something with lots of knobs on it.

  • 5:39 – 'I Feel Love' by Bronski Beat :)

  • bello

  • Awesome! do you know by any chance which moog synth created the famous Hoover sound which was used by artists like The Prodigy back in the 90's?i wonder if it was the moog prodigy synth? where they probably got their band name from in the 1st place lol

  • @Filthdrive

    Roland Alpha Juno

  • @Filthdrive its a roland mks 50 or alpha juno 1 or 2 :

  • @Filthdrive

It was the Roland Alpha Juno "What The?" Patch.

  • @Filthdrive But they DID get their name out of the Moog Prodigy thou :D

  • Which Effects Processor do you use? thank u.

  • @gencom

    only a little bit delay

  • @retrosound72

Many thanks for your answer, but could you please let me know wich one? An analogue one? a digital one? a pedale or a rack amount? in a word wich one? thanks very much :)

  • @gencom

    Lexicon MPX-110

  • @retrosound72

    Thanks very much.

  • Taurus style

  • wtf this is some pretty BIG bass sound! never heard of this moog though... :p

  • Sounds very awesome! Great demo as usual.

  • this is amusing sound. love it

  • those are some fat bass sounds

  • this 1:22 lead sound is fantastic....

  • I love the sound of the source!

Does it have the 24db filter? Huge sound :)

    Thanks Marko!

  • @GCom67

yes the classic 24 dB moog filter. I like this more than my Mini .

  • At 2:45, when using the internal sequencer, how did get it to make that sequence change with different notes? I have a Source also and would love to know how that is done!

  • @AnEffinCookie

the sequence is the same, I change only the filter envelope amount

  • That's a seriously fat bass sound you get out of the Source Marko!. I'm afraid it even gives Signature Edition Voyager a run for it's money ..

  • SEXUAL!!!

  • about the source..does the lfo track keyboard c.v. like on the minimoog?

  • Nice and squelchy!

  • @justwaving

    :)

  • It's interesting how you have a certain way you like to play and demo the Moogs.

  • That bass is blowing my speakers Marko thanks!:):)

  • @mik300z

    :))

yes the source is really a bass monster

  • Wow, what a beast. You can sure get some insane bass out of that thing, hey?

  • @ConnorMcLeanMusic

    yes

this Source is perfect for insane bass sounds

  • I love it!!!

  • @riqard0lazz3r

    thx :)

  • But the Moog Source as Midi hub? Thank

  • @79Efrem

    no midi

  • @retrosound72 a ok thank you

  • Great demo !!

  • @79Efrem

    thank you

  • I love this machine!!!! :-)

  • @massia68

    I too! :)

  • As I listen to these demos of vintage synths, I'm constantly startled as i hear sounds from records that I have loved over the course of my 40 years as a passionate listener. Retrosound rocks. How is it that our universities don't have people like you as tenured profs? I'd fire the entire econ, sociology, and psych depts, to make room.

  • @jmatzkin

    :)) thank you

  • Best demo on youtube!!! :)

  • @jcarterize

    :)

    thank you

  • Wow, great-great-GREAT sounds!!!

  • @jezuz12345

    thx :)

  • 5/5 nice fat sound.

  • @bkroz9000

    thank you

  • The first example of the internal sequencer reminds me of Kraftwerk's Autobahn.

  • Marko you were in my mind.The excact same thought!!!!!!!!!!!!You are G R E A T....

  • @kolossaeis

    :) thanks a lot

  • Great sounds.R

  • @musictec1

    thx

  • Marko do you agree that in the 80's and early 90's were the best synthesizers ever?

  • @kolossaeis

    yes absolute

for me is the last fav synth the Roland JD-800

  • Great machine ...nicely demoed Marco....

  • @externalcontrol

    thank you

  • A Moog with only two knobs? Now I've seen everything.

    Great demo

  • @KaslarProductions

yes but with the fat Moog sound.

    thx

  • @KaslarProductions

It is almost as fast as having dedicated knobs...because the membrane buttons are single function buttons...no menus!!

  • What were some songs made with this?

  • @DJDrDerek

New Order - Blue Monday bassline

    Madonna - Holiday

    AIR

Depeche Mode - Speak and Spell album

    and much more

  • amazing! another great demo

  • @510ohNO

    thank you :)

  • What a sound!

  • @CleverDjembe

    thanks :)

  • wow... coole kiste und mittlerweile verdammt schwer zu bekommen.

    geile leads!

  • @hartig1967

ja , ich habe auch eine ganze Weile danach gesucht .

  • still looks & sounds fresh 2day

only the lack of midi connectors reveal its from 81 :)

  • @XHALE303

    I need no Midi! ;)

  • Epic looking! Finger up.

  • @xshery

    :))

  • Great demo like always ;]

  • @Shadow432643

    thank you :)

  • böses kleines teil

  • @EFKA526

    sehr böse ;)

  • that sequence sounds badass :)

  • Hört sich sehr gut an, einfach FETT!

  • @mummstylesound

    das ist er auch ;)

  • Really really awesome sounds Marko!!

  • @Posthuman2003

    thank you friend

  • I want one. Actually, I want one of everything you have.

  • @kenkarsonn

    ;-)

  • @retrosound72 Me too I want them all!!!!

  • majestic sonds - can you please put the estimated price of your hardware in the comments, just to have a degreed of comparison more?

  • Great again, i look forward to these 8 minutes every week, thanks :o) *****

  • @jtaship

    thanks a lot :)

  • Those Moogs always had nice sound. Great vid.

  • @mikeycomputer

    thank you :)

  • Wow, lots of great sounds there - it seems pretty versatile.

  • @illDiology

    thanks

  • So so phat!

  • 1:22 sounds JMJ-like

    Nice

  • Very nice again. Powerful sound!

  • @Helderhugo

    :))

  • One more moog baby, i had in the eighties. The times that never come back.

Nowadays this cute machines are not affordable anymore.

    Great demo again Marko.

  • @schmittwilli

    thank you my friend

  • I would seriously need one of these if it only had knobs. It would be my main bass synth.

  • @r4x2

believe me you need no knobs ;)

the source is very easy to use mit the endless rotary dial.

  • Every time I watch you video it makes me want to go create some presets on my Korg M3. That is what I am going to do right now. Thanks love those phat sounds

  • @maltcus

    this is cool!

    Keep up!

  • you gotta be lucky for having such priceless devices! by the way, where do you have them from?

  • @AfXv237

    from a another keyboard player

  • recognised some verry modern techno sounds in this demo... nice one!

  • These things are notorious for having problems with the membrane switch panel. But it was the first Moog synthesizer to have microprocessor control.

  • @douro20

the membrane panel works perfect also on my JX-8P

  • Wow. Love the PWM sound as well. So powerful!

  • @SoundInterfaceDriver

    thank you

  • Love the sound at 1:59!

  • I had a Moog source in the 80's but it would not stay in tune, even with itself you couldn't even play an octave apart.Do you have to wait for it to warm up ?

  • @mesmoland

this is called the Crazy Source syndrome!

    oxydation of the PSU contacs.

  • @retrosound72 yours sounds stable !

  • I love it! :D

  • @yamahasynth

    thanks :)

  • Reminds me of Jamiroquai !

  • Good sound

  • I almost bought this when it jsut came out as my first synth, but bought the Roland JX3P because I wanted polyphony. I should have gotten this! I was a hard decision... now I guess I'll get the Roland Gaia But this is still cool, if they would release it with the additions someone commented about here, it wold be great!

  • You owe me a new T-shirt, because I drooled all over mine watching this! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!

  • @randomeddie

    :))

    thank you eddie

  • The membrane panel makes this thing look so rad.

    Once again, nice demo.
