Both these buses sound better - IMO - if they had Voith transmissions. The 1990/91 models, which used the ZF 4HP-500 transmission, could very well have had a transmission replacement to a Voith D863.3, rather than the Allison B-400R5 that the 1996 models were newly delivered with.
