  • just replaced them on the wifes zj they were just as bad. in 4 low clunk clunk grind not good.

  • My cherokee has this same problem. I havnt seen it for proof but when switch from revers to drive, it has a delaied jerk.

  • The axle bearings have given up the ghost as well.

  • you should grab some axle shafts off a later model dana 30 with abs, they have bigger u-joints which will hold up much better...

  • looks like u need a new bearings as well

  • BARF STINKS LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER!! TIS TIS TIS DU NE NE NE NU

  • haha nice pantera in the backround....LOVE IT!!!!

  • mine is doing this as well on my xj, not sure how long its been that way, but i just keep beating her ass lol and she still runs

  • Im going to say it time to replace that ya. When i did my rear driveshaft i found my output on my NP 203 TRANFERCASE with about a inch of play in it ya thats awsome i just put it back together till i know what to fix im not mudding to much this summer anyway it will hold up driving for now .

  • aircruiser226 what were all the parts, you ended up changing?!!!!1 If you don't mind my asking?!!!!1

  • Looks OK to me, just broke in. Seriously, just buy the stock joints from Quadratec as they last way longer than the aftermarket. If you really want good joints by the OX joints.

  • Hey... Mine does that! Damn snow! Thanks for the video upload.

  • damn that is fucked up, needle bearings said goodbye i think

  • FUCKIN PANTERA!!

Thats worse than mine, I need a new one on the Drivers side...

  • I've replaced the u-joints on my 86 XJ 2 times since I've owned it (since 2001). I hope you got grease-able ones, they seem to last WAY longer than those lifetime greased POS joints.

    Pantera rules \m/

  • but the greasable ones are more lickly to break since theyre hollow

  • Very true. Mine stays on the street through, so that works for me...

  • ive broken 3 greasable joints then got fed up and got a non greasable one and im all good now by the way my truck is a 85 GMC 6.2 diesel 4X4

  • better designs by chrysler. u-joints that spin all the time suck

  • just make absolutely sure you dont break the seal in the axle tube when you put the axle shaft back in that will make your day exponentially more miserable lol Im sure you have already fixed this in the 8 months since its been up but its good to know.

  • thanks man, i just gotta get the part from napa and ill hopefully get it done on friday.

  • Hey its really easy to fix I did all mine under a hour.

  • Mine was heavily coroded and a real bitch to replace .
