i am a Malaysian Tamil, In Malaysia we learn malay coz its our national language, but in tamil nadu, tamil should be the national language and english should b 2nd languag as it is a bussiness language, but why hindi? who cares about hindi, hindi should never be allowed in tamil nadu as it is akin to accepting aryan suppremacy. i understand what you are trying to get at, but you do not see that Im criticizing the mentality of the average tamilian. I recently conducted an experiment for fun, and spoke to some tamilians at random during my chennai stay to ask for directions...most of them gave me a wierd look and the cold shoulder, save when i asked them in english or tamil. U dun c this happening in Andhra Pradesh or Kerala? If they want to call themselves indian, let them at least learn the national language.
