My parakeets have free roam of my room as well, altough they only like staying in the one corner, I have this like pea vine metal thing, with some plastic rabbit fence type stuff covering the back so they can climb. Then ontop my TV that is right next to it is my a playing platform where i put lettuce, millit, calcium blocks, and seeds. The perches I have (maybe 20-50) are from my own yard (no trees were harmed) that were cleaned and boiled. I have godzillions of toys, and a nest box with chicks

Its really nice to see someone care as they should for their birds. All too often we see them neglected and shoved into small spaces, no toys, inadequate food and no love. I'm so relieved that some people make the right choices for their pets. Thank you for sharing :)

cool i only have one budgie.a sky blue female as far as i can tell from light brown nose. but i will get her a companion soon, a sky blue male because she turns the mirror arround alot to see who is there hehe . maybe a bigger cage too because she is too afraid too come out as she was found in the street & is middle aged i think already! its going to be fun if when i have two they will come out to play & swing on sticks -)

In order to have this many budgies(13) in a home, you must be dedicated. These cages are cleaned everyday. It takes 1 1/2 hours at least to do the job. We get rewarded with good health and entertainment.

In order for a bird to live a healthy life as a pet their enviroment must be kept clean.

Wife does it mon. to Fri. (I work) so I do it on weekends. When you love budgies as we do, its a task of love:)

@clifff123 I love my two budgie to pieces, and when I have to clean their cage/toys/playgyms I feel happy doing it because I know I'm being responsible and they have no control over their environment and it makes them happy to play in such a clean area.

very nice, did you buy all of those stuff? I do not have cages for my birds i built them a station basically and they seem to love it. I didn't see the point of trapping them inside of a cage. the station is 5 feet wide, 5 feet long, and 9 feet tall , I built the station with real tree branches and they love biting on the bark.

Yes we purchased it all. They are only in from 9pm to 9am. The rest of the time they are out and have the whole room to fly. About 8:30 pm most of them go into their cages and are ready for bed.

The budgies stay mostly on the cage area, thats where all the toys are. They do poo sometime over by the window ledge but thats why they hired me as poo cleaner. When you have budgies and want them to be healthy,so they need exercise and we give it to them.

If you love budgies, poo, is a minor problem.
