I thought the Silent Hill movie was nicely made, I believe you are underrating it since you seem to be an SH purist?

Pyramid Head was done well in my view, the change of the design of the head made him look more intimidating. If it had the original shape it did in SH2, I think it would only look silly.

As for ideas, it borrowed a lot of scenes from the games so I will assume they tried their best to satisfy fans.

The Silent Hill movie has more symbols than most people think. The Gray Children were most likely interpretations of the kids that bullied Alessa in the flashbacks.

The Janitor/Toilet-Man's touches seem to rot anything he touches, it could be an interpretation of when he raped Alessa which added more to her impurity.

As for Pyramid Head, there's supposedly a painting in the movie that had figures wearing pointed hoods that were taking part in a burning.

As for Plot and Storyline, the movie was obviously loosely based on the original Silent Hill game for the PSX.

I thought Christophe Gans did an awesome job on the movie adaption, story-wise. It's pretty much the same as the game with a few added extras with flashbacks which leading up to the main plot. Much like the game.

I also always thought the religious cult in the movie was a reference to what could be happening. Like the burning of people in Kenya accused of witchcraft happening today.
