Fantastic live demo! So...... Has anyone noticed the backdrop say's YouRock Guitar GEN 2? This looks good. Let's hope the neck sensors are velocity touch sensitive. I really like the pro image that You Rock is moving towards, as opposed to the little kid's home gamer toys. This is very promising. Just give us some serious, but affordable MIDI guitar controllers. You can do it, guys :)
Hi Dan! I just bought one for myself for Christmas 8-) ! It takes some getting used to compared to regular 6-string, but thanks for showing how many uses it has!! Do you use much in terms of external signal processing, or are all your sounds internal to the YouRock instrument? Thanks, Chuck
@CStack2Ci Hi Chuck! That's awesome, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. I personally don't use the internal sounds. With literally unlimited sound possibilities via midi, I choose to create my own using synths and samplers. However, with the release of Gen 2 in the next few months, there will also be upgraded internal sounds that you can download via the YRG updater. The new internal sounds sound awesome! Lot's of other features will be available as well, such as a monophonic mode!
@DanMummSolo ...oh man! Headstocks and double cutaway fullbodies! I want!! I've had my YRG for about 2 months now and am def sold on it. After viewing almost ALL the YRG videos on youtube I am convinced you are the YRG Jedi Master. I have some trouble triggering the guitar midi guitars but for all the other instruments it works beyond all expectations. Here's my latest, and about my 15th recording w/the YRG. Done in Mixcraft 6 beta.
@Souldk86 Thanks! It takes a little getting used to and then it becomes easy. Basically there is no guitar that can compare as far as action is concerned because of the way the "strings" are attached to the neck. But on the same token, precision is a must for anything fast to sound right. Also the YRG is easier to perform 8 finger tapping on than a standard guitar.
@petepachio Thanks man! You totally should! It's so easy to get one too. I still can't believe how inexpensive they are. When I'm jamming on it, in the back of my mind I feel like I'm playing on an extremely costly piece of equipment.
