  • Great job! Of all the videos of this piece I've surfed around, everyone always either plays too fast or too loud...or really mechanic. Always a joy to find a fellow PIANIST who can actually put feeling into music. <3

  • Nice! Thank you!

  • It sounds good because your playing it slow.

  • thank you! FINALLY, someone who remembers that this piece is about Ivan SINGING, not MARCHING.

  • @mawguy Thank you very much for your comment and appreciation

  • @mawguy - u r f. right!

  • @mawguy In band, we're doing solo & Ensemble, and we (as in I, the tuba player, a trombone player, 3 trumpets, and a baritone) chose this piece, and I tried to point out that it's SLOW, but of course, everyone kept rushing through it. No one wants to listen to the tuba player! -_-

  • do you know any piano songs that are as easy and sad as "Ivan Sings"? I am a beginner in piano and i am almost done with this piece.

  • @haczel Thank you so much. May I suggest Tchaikovsky's "The Sick Doll". But... why so sad?? :) Video responses appreciated :)

  • @casyopea1977 because the happy ones are usually played fast and i'm jus a beginner...

  • an you make a tutorial on how to play this song?

  • I've listened to several renditions of this on YT and yours is the best by far. Most enjoyable. Played with feeling. Well done.

  • I am glad that you enjoyed my playing. Thank you very much for your comment.

  • I'm learning how to play this, so it really helped to listen on how it was supposed to be played! Your playing was SUPREME! At 1:03, I LOVED that part. I have SOME. . . Trouble playing it. . . . But then again, I'm still learning.. . . . Great Job!

    ;) Take Care

  • Oh thank you! I am so happy to read this! If I could help with my video, I'm more than glad ... well it's not perfect anyway, but I hope it will be useful to you. Good luck and please feel free to post a video response when you feel ready ^-^

  • just a little advice: - try to do different dynamics so that the music would sond more interesting; and try it a little faster with more motion, any way I like you tecnic and your sond is gob. Greeting from Portugal ; )

  • Thank you for your commen, Edwenla. I am very happy I could help. Even if it's a little bit late and you may have it perfect now, keep at it! It's a great piece for repertoire.

  • oops, I just used my mothers acount she uses mostly for spam, 321trash . sorry

  • no problem ;)

  • I'm learning that piece too! and it's nice to hear what it might sound like.

  • I'm glad you find the video helpful. This piece is wonderful, even if it's sad I love to play it again and again

  • Very simple but very good!

  • and I'm very grateful for your comment :)

  • lol seriously its very very good!

  • :)) Thank you :))

  • i like how u played it peacefully. i think that you have to be more alive when you play the eighth notes and the whole piece a bit faster. And when u get to the second part ( when the left hand goes E-C-C, E-C-C, D-B-B (mi do do, mi do do, re si si) make it lighter

  • Thank you so much, yosoyyoyyo. This is one of the pieces I want to maintain in my (still very tiny) repertoire, and any clues on how to perfect it are indeed welcome. I appreciate your comment and help, because I want to improve and do my best at piano. BTW do you speak Spanish? :)

  • indeed, a bit, yourself?

  • You're doing a good job. You may want to try to make it flow more, make long phrases and shape them. I like this piece, too.

  • Thank you very much for your comment, Benita. I do feel I am learning a lot with such a simple piece. I'll try to make it better :)

  • I Think this is not very good but still love it I will rate it good. Improve it sis and have fun!

  • Yes, in fact this was the third upload :D Might try it again, but I think I'm moving onto something else. Have a great summer you too!

  • Hm.. I liked it. I guess that kwesi just dont like the song itselfe, and got nothing against the playing :))

  • lol I think everyone have different likes hehehe...Summer here is already finish and I'm starting studying waaaa...

  • Variety is the spice of life I guess :) Good luck with your studies!

  • Why isnt this on the forum?? :P

Hehe :) Great job Again :)

Tens? I try ti just let my hand hit the keys, and not flex my muscels to push them.. But Im no expert here :)

  • Thanks Thomas, as J. S. Bach said: "hitting the right key at the right moment and the instrument will play itself" :) Hope you're having a great summer :)

  • Yeah. Have a great Summer Casy :) The rest of it atleast :)
