So from another of the videos about the "20 Questions" game, I went to that site and thought of a BLACK MARKER (Or a sharpie) anyways, I'm on question 11 and it is asking, "Is it Colorful?"

However, John stated that the mixture of all primary colours is black. Primary colours usually refer to pigments and pigments work by absorbing certain wavelengths of light and reflecting the rest so if all the primary pigments are mixed then all visible wavelengths are absorbed giving black.
@Greenie369 it depends on what you are talking about. For actual colors (ie paint, crayola) black is the mixture but im assuming that actual light (ie sunlight) is different
I'd say artistically, in regards to materials, black is a colour, whilst scientifically, in regards to light, it isn't. I know "artistically" and "scientifically" aren't really sufficient there but I couldn't think of better words.

HMM, from a physics major's perspective I must correct you. The COLOR black isn't the absence of light. It's simply a material that has chromatic properties within the visible spectrum that do not REFLECT light back. Ergo when you wear black clothing you get warmer. The color black absorbs all visible light, so you see black (but you do see Infrared Light, which is heat.. A dark space (room with no light) is "black" because there is no light, or all visible light is being absorbed elsewhere.

If you mix all of the colors of paint, you do get a sort of black. However, with "real" color mixing (mixing colors of light), black is the absence of light (RGB[0,0,0]), and thus is not a color.

If you mix all of the colors of paint, you do get a sort of black. However, with "real" color mixing (mixing colors of light), black is the absence of light (RGB[0,0,0]), and thus is not a color.
