  • lives. The irony is that pollution exists in the first place because of gov't.

Schiff is a pro-choice Libertarian by the way. He essentially mirrors Ron Paul's foreign policy and is pro-gay marriage if I'm not mistaken. I don't know if he's like Paul where he thinks gov't should just get out of the business of marriage period and return it to full church control.

  • can tell you Al Gore doesn't know the first thing about differential equations, meteorology, chaos theory, or the climate. The common sensical way I explain it to non-math/science people is "if the weather man can't with great confidence predict the temperature and weather at the end of the week, how the hell does Al Gore know what the precise temperature will be 60 years from now?" His method is horrible: he starts from one day with the possibility of the temperature being something and then

  • test

  • Schiff is dangerous, he is a corporatist, instead of trying to raise the wages of outsourced jobs, he wants to get rid of minimum wage and lower pay to compete w them.. think about that.. how are you going survive working for 50 cents an hr?

  • cervantessssssssssss:

That is a good point, but that's just one extreme of looking at things. Where would we be if there is no competition? Would there be an incentive for a company to grow if walmart makes as much as local grocery store? Would there be any incentive for you to be a doctor when you can make just as much as a janitor?

I am not saying either case will ever happen, but there is always somewhere in between, and right now we need to be learning more towards corporatist side.

  • Peter Schiff is a fucking champion.

  • what we need to do, is to have mass killings throughout the us. Too many people and too many idiots = not enough jobs more and more problems and more tyranny. Half the population must be wiped out. Stalin style

  • How do you think that helps us? How exactly has this profit/greed based system helped the USA and the world so far? Seems to me that through TRYING to stop the monster from devouring us all at once, the gov't regulations have only caused it to eat away at us like a cancer. I bet your business is incorporated, yes?

  • Thanks for explaining the obvious problems inherent in our present gov't. That makes you seem very observant but the only solution you're spouting is deregulating big business, regulations that protect us from the corporate monsters. That's your solution?

  • Absolutly right on Peter!!!!!

  • Right on Peter Schiff! Thanks for the truth. Please continue. Get well.

  • The voices of the few are usually the right ones; remember we live in a herd mentality society. So the least you need to understand is when the majority are saying one thing that is the top of what they are speaking of. And the minority are the ones that are correct and this is why only 10% of people make money in the market.

  • Doubt you read these Peter but...great oneveryything, However you are talking about temperatures, not global warming. This could be compared to "you are talking about prices, not inflation." When will it get scalding hot? Maybe 2012, 2014. I don't know.

  • Global Warming exposed as a scam. Google climategate. It was fraudulently cooked up data by the politically motivated scientific pinko commies who think human life is a waste. When nations develop and have a good standard of living, population starts to naturally decline. Put them back into poverty, their population will shoot off again. The problem is the international banking families hoarding all the wealth. Stop them and allow free markets and you simply fix the world in the shortest time.

  • Although I do not believe in global warming all that we really see from climate gate is that the hockey stick graph is greatly flawed and they don't like Sally Baliunas. We already knew that.

  • I was with you there Peter until you said "so much for global warming". I'm quite a big Ron Paul fan also, but lost alot of respect for him when he said "Evolution is just a theory".

I would like to know where you stand on other policies such as Irag, Afghanistan, Abortion, Gay Marriage.

  • I agree with you on evolution but not on global warming.

  • Evolution is just a theory. =)

  • 'Just' a theory? Look up theory in the dictionary.

you'll find "a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena: Einstein's theory of relativity"

How debatable do you think Einsteins theory is?

  • @HONDOMACLEAN83

Evolution...is a theory. And I'm a huge science buff. Let's be honest about it.

  • @selfrealizedexile oh my God, your ignorance is breathtaking. Do me this one favour, look up the word 'theory' in the dictionary, and you'll see it has a few different terms. This is the very reason why right wing people such as yourself are branded things like bogots and ignorant because I don't think you realise how obsurd these comments you make are.

  • @HONDOMACLEAN83

You're falling right into the "ignorant" trap to which I was just alluding. It's ironic that I have to explain this to you, but Science proves nothing. It never has. It's always been about refutation. We hypothesize events with theories and hold onto the ones that explain more events and haven't yet been contradicted. That's Science. You're talking to a future PhD in Physics and/or Chemistry when the tuition bubble finally pops. I'm not some hillbilly.

  • @selfrealizedexile Then you'll know that Evolution has not been refuted by any credible scientist and all evidence points towards this. Using the phrase 'just a theory' comes across as derogatory and ignorant. You may not be some hillbilly, however the way you throw around phrases like that plays into the hands right wing idiots.

  • @HONDOMACLEAN83

I never said "*just* a theory" which would connote a poorly-developed theory. I actually think evolution is very plausible. It doesn't destroy my worldview to accept the proposition species change. I have a few reservations about the idea of the mutations being "random," however.

Now, global warming being caused by Man is an incredibly poorly-developed theory. I have a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics and have done the differential equations used in Meteorology. I

  • @HONDOMACLEAN83

extrapolates further and further upon ever more improbable events, until his prediction has infinitesimal credibility. The weather is a chaotic system; meteorologists, in the interest of practicality, eliminate a number of variables of least influence which is fine for short-term predictions. Also, if you look at the figures of man-made CO2 on Earth, it is like 0.0001% compared to Ocean and surface vegetation turnover. Now, it being a chaotic system, small changes can

  • @HONDOMACLEAN83

have profoundly more significant effects and, as a matter of principle, should always be cautious, but let's, again, be honest about the data. It is far more plausible the Earth undergoes climate cycles; there are a number of variables that haven't been adequately eliminated and theories disproven. I think it's obviously imperative we be actual scientists before coming to a conclusion with one of the youngest sciences and hand gov't a mandate for even more control of our

  • @HONDOMACLEAN83 Peter has supported abortion in the past (look up his speech at the SFl Boston Conference in 2009), he has said he didn't really think gay marriage was so bad tho i'm not sure if he's ever endorsed it, he is against the wars like Ron Paul was. As someone who has studied climate change in an academic (undergraduate level) setting, I will say that we are in a 12-year cooling cycle though I personally am inclinced to accept Climate Change tho no existing model or theory is 100%

  • dude, your stuff sounds great. but this kind of stuff will never sell in this country. you do realize that average americans can only do low skill jobs, and those are gone overseas already. now, the rich people are made to pay the poor people for health care and so on and so forth.

    socialist uSA...

  • There is a lot of controversy on the real unemployment number. John Williams from Shadowstats presents a reasonable alternative CPI, but his alternative unemployment looks too much.

As I understand, the BLS altered the method in 1994, and according to Williams, there is too big of a jump between 1993 and 1994 (7% to 15%). Right now he shows a rate of 22%! thoughts on the matter anyone?

  • I completely agree with everything he says, this guy should be president!

  • I got out of the US, but I have kids there. I'm advising them to learn a useful trade-auto mechanics, farming, something tangible. The US is in bad shape, and the last thing we need are more MBAs and liberal arts degrees.

  • @pretorious700 so you're saying the last thing we need is education? That would be disastrous as it already is on our culture. period. I know education system don't teach well, and as a matter of fact liberal education is really just watered down with vacational training. Learning is for the sake of learning, vocational training is for the sake of earning. If you get a trade that's great but don't leave out education.

  • Thanks for continuing to speak even though ur not well. Appreciate it.

  • Just imagine how incredble our country would become if we just voted Schiff in for president. I mean really, just imagine. We'd be back on top, and terrorism against our country would diminish because we'd leave countrys we never had any business occupying in the first place. It still blows my mind how people dont understand that invading a country might piss people off LOL. Something so simple as voting him in office...would do wonders.

Maybe one day, a man can dream lol.

  • they are squeezing the small businesses out of business and the larger ones have left the nation or are leaving the nation

say thank you clintons, bushes, obama and other NWO puppets

  • Peter schiff is the man...Im ready for revolution!

  • Impeach Obama if you want real productive jobs.

  • I hope Schiff gets voted in and I dont even live in US. It will show that at least people do realise what's going on in US and give me some confidence in the future.

  • where are you from, I'm just curious

  • I am also not an U.S. citizen or resident but I would maybe like more for Peter to stick more with economy and less with politics. Because all the politicians will do the right things when things get out of control.

  • I don't know if we can say that. When things get out of control, I don't know if they will do the right thing

I like Friedmans thought though; "We don't need the right people in Washington. We need it to be politically profitable, for the wrong people, to do the right thing."

  • sorry for delay in reply LordVigeous, Im from Sydney, Australia and our politicians are using the same rhetoric from the pseudo-Keynesian playbook on how to trash an economy. The only diff is here we have less people and therefore we have more of our environment(minerals etc) to sell off to China.

  • No worries. Good luck in Australia.

If we get on the right path again, you're more than welcome over here.

If you guys get it right first, I might drop in and say Hi, lol

  • We need to hear more from you on our foreign policy, e.g., expose the failures of Chavez in Venezuela--2009 inflation of 25% and catastrophic shortage of electricity. That is socialism, central planning, destruction of capitalistic production and distribution.

  • first!. and Peter Schiff for senate!
