larrys drumming is absolutely brilliant! especially on the 'you don't know' chorus! he's just brilliant throughout on this album, love the entry to breathe! i see some jealous people posting, 'most over rated,' NO! one of the most Under rated! even as big as they are! even the disciples sometimes got used to Jesus' miracles all day, every day, like, this one wasn't as big a miracle yawn. please, not saying or comparing u2 and jesus. just, even they're least appreciated songs are absolute genius!
This is going to sound amazing live and in person on the tour! Can't wait. They have 10 great songs to play off this album. Don't think Cedars would translate too well to a big stadium...all the others...fantastic.

I read an interview with Brian Eno where he said that the problem with U2 is that they work songs to death, til they become lame, then great again, then lame again, etc etc- seems the album deadline caught Get On Your Boots at the "lame" stage...

this song is so much better live, but i read several coments and lots of fulls said that u2's sound sucks now and that they are old, well i have an answer, i heard the record and boots it's clearly the worst song of the record, but the album is perfect on everyside, it's very experimental but it has given to me some new favourite u2 songs, magnificent, unknown caller, i'll go crazy tonight, stand up, FEZ, breathe, they are all my new favourite songs, then i like the rest a lot except boots

These guys could trawl out Kings of Leon / Coldplay stuff in their sleep, album after album.
The point is the fans of other bands hoped that they would do JUST that!! They were hoping they'd become predictable dinosaurs. But they are restless - they are for moving on
This album will drag them just further away from the other "biggest" bands in the world. They'll say "Take it, take the safe conventional crown, enjoy it - we'll get back to where our heart is - the mad sonic beauty of the 90s.

This almost 50 year old guys still ROCK. This is definitely the most infleuntial band in the last 30 years... Nobody expect this performance from such an Old Band. THEY ROCK... The song is not their best one. But it makes the effect. And It makes the trick. The Album is another different animal. I love How they marketed this album... Good musicians, good business men.
