SMARTs train and pathway are the most economical alternative to the freeway. SMARTs costs are $7.7 million a mile, BARTs are $364 million a mile. We cant afford to build BART. SMART will not build any housing but if cities and towns choose they can direct new development to be near the train stations so that people can use the train, reduce carbon emissions and help fight climate change!
It will save me half an hour just from Northern Novato to Civic Center which takes about 40 minutes by car during rush hour, but is only 11 minutes by train! Don't know about hydrogen, but it is really clean fuel, the same amount of particulates for the entire train are emitted from a single car.
The train runs on diesel and the train doesn't even exist yet.

The train is a necessity. The arguments against it that I've heard have equated to "there is no proof that people will actually ride it"

How long will it take to get from Windsor, CA to the Ferry Terminal? Are there videos posted of this train in action? Can it run on Hydrogen?
