Secondly, white people were indentured servants which is a pre-capitalist form of slavery. Chattel slavery was hereditary, "white slaverY" was not. There is one thing (surprisingly) that i agree with the republicans/conservatives. That is I don't think Obama deserved the peace prize, because he hasn't done anything yet. He is a huge upgrade from the last president but that isn't hard to do, anyone could do that even me. But lets see if Obama actually ends the war(s) & advocates peace. So far I haven't seen it. I think they gave him the Noble Peace Prize as a thank you to the ppl of the US for not electing a dumbshit & corrupt warmongers.

No it didn't. Capitalism as we know it started when the feudal system broke down. The black death came, and killed 2/3 of the people. Labor became a precious commodity, and peasants saw their worth. They rebelled, or in many cases moved to towns where they were able to buy their freedom. In feudalism, white people were slaves. And even thousands of years ago, there were slaves of every race, creed, sex, and age. Black slaves did not start capitalism. Learn economics.

Secondly, white people were indentured servants which is a pre-capitalist form of slavery. Chattel slavery was hereditary, "white slaverY" was not. Chattel slavery also completely alienated captured africans from their culture and society, white slavery did not. Learn real economics and history.

Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens bluntly stated during the drafting of the Confederate Constitution that one of the greatest reasons for succession was to prevent any chance of abolishing slavery and regarding negroes as equals of whites. The Confederate Constitution also forbade slavery from ever ending or even being challenged. Slavery was considered a God-given right of the southern white landowning class and it was a stated agenda to defend it.
