Had some really good directing back then and now they just try to cover it up with special effects. Well fx only gets you so far. Hardcore movie fans can see through all that. The only time ( In my opinion) another director made a movie better was Batman Begins and Dark Knight. Other then that its better if the same director takes on every movie.

Terminator Salvation had alot of repair work to do after Jonathan Mostow screwed the franchise with Terminator 3. Heres one example how Mostow screwed up

In T3, John says he was 13 in T2 (but he was really 10). John was born in early 1985 because he was concieved in May 1984. So, if John was 13 in T2, the setting would be in 1998...AFTER JUDGMENT DAY (Aug 1997). In reality, T2 is set in 1995.
