At 5:55 the jerk opens the hood and looks right at the engine. It says 2.4L right there on the engine and the jerk says it's a 2.3L. Honda hasn't made a 2.3L since 2002. What planet is this jerk on? He sure knows his Hondas, doesn't he???
I'm trying to decide between one of these and the VW Tiguan. They are very similar, but the VW has some styling that I like a whole lot better. I know the Tiguan takes premium gas, but that isn't swaying me from keeping it on my short list. I just am waiting to see something the CR-V has that will blow me away and say forget the Tiguan. Haven't seen it yet.
I don't like the new changes. The emergency brake was relocated so it jabs into your shin. The new gear shifter bulges out of the dash and blocks the climate controls. The interior door handles stick out too far. The cargo area is much more limited, with a tiny spare tire mounted inside (buried under all of your cargo), the back window is now fused, the useless shelf holds "20 pounds," etc. As for the styling, it looks like a cross between a Pacer and a Pacifica.

they have ruined the entire line. those idiots and to top that, it is significantly more expensive than the older models. it was perfect and super popular the way it was. why ruin something good?
this isnt his car. the keys he used are the same ones that they give for the test drive with the white plastic thing on it. So therefore, he doesnt have a liscense plate
Not a bad review at all, but an interesting mix of shoot-from-the-hip accurate data with a smattering of outright flubs, such as 2.3 vs 2.4L, "3rd row" is used for seats not cargo area, lots of "uhs," shaky camera, poor setup (had to turn down volume of radio).
It's easy to point out the mistakes but that takes away from the rest of the video, which I enjoyed.
I couldn't tell if Honda meant L=Leather or Luxury but I think it's the latter (look at the standard equipment list for the EX-L).
For those of you who are seeking real info, like I was, the version EX gives 27.7 mpg (11.3 km/L) on the highway at an average speed of 75 mph (120 km/h), and 19 mpg (7.8 km/L) in a small town, with lots and lots of stops.
I have to say it's very comfortable and gives a great acceleration response for its price, size and economy.
it's a good car, but hard to call it Sport Utility Vehicle. its spacy, comfortable and so on (i have model with ACC - adaptive cruise control) but when i want to feel the road, i still have to take my wifes mazda 3 which has only 1,6L engine, but the handling and sensibility is another class. but well, crv is a great compromise - its still big, 4wd and great mpg. you cant have it all
Yeah I picked up a new 2007 CR-V in July and it is has really worked well. Granted it isn't nearly as loaded as the one in the video (I have the tea green LX 2WD model with just fog lights and a roof rack added extra). Really well done video.
Both of these vehicles are world class, being that they provide amazing ride, handling, fuel economy and safety features that are standard.
One of the key features that might not appeal to everyone is that the top trim package for the CR-V includes heated leather seats standard - since I don't like leather, just to get the alarm, the Rav 4 offered what I was looking for.
i think you should show this to honda or to the owner.. they might give you reward for like doing this.. its like kind of advertising..
i have a cr-v too 2007 EX 2wd though.. was thinking if ever they will have a faster one like 200+ something with their horse power instead of 166 HP.. you get my point?
Some complain about the power, but for the money that is what the Acura RDX is for. Very similar vehicle, same base chasis (and other SMALL components) and MUCH higher performance thanks to a turbocharger and different AWD system.
umm thier is no 3rd row?!!?!?

He keeps saying the engine is a 2.3. Hello? It says 2.4 right there on the engine cover.

I love mine. I have the same as shown in the video. I just traded in a 2005 Nissan Murano. No regrets. It's pretty zippy as well.

Wonder how much more do I have to pay if I were to trade in my 2003 EX model for this new number?

hondas and toyota are the best by far
toyota makes lexus, hondas make acuras
the crv is a great car, no comparison

I agree in that both the Hondas and Toyotas are world class leaders.
You can't go wrong either way (seriously).
Anyone who has been loyal to GM (like me) has to see for themselves what a reliable vehicle experience is like.
