WTF ! this is like soft porn, that's not the tempo of the song ! They slowed the tempo down & they look nothing like the album cover. What happened to that Jeff Lynn (ELO) curly hair. 60's pin size ties. I had this on Record (Jr High/High) .
What a turn in time. 1979, was the death of disco, & the birth of New Wave/ Ska . The Prelude of what would be come Rap.
Sorry, but most of the time 'good girls' do! It's a matter of chemistry and we are all filled with a lot of volatile chemicals just waiting to explode.
redshadlizard, you're a douch. If you keep perpetuating the "my music is better than yours" BS you are no different. Good is good, and it ALL should be played. Snoop is just as good as this, so deal with it and dislodge the branch.
I still have the original "Get The Knack" LP that my brother purchased new in 79 (still in near mint condition), as well as recently acquiring the original 45 single. The single version changes the lyrics to "wishing she was giving you a chance" in the first verse, and "when she puts you in your place / til she puts you in your place" at the end of each bridge.
Wow ... I haven't heard this one since the summer after HS graduation. I remember there was a "cleaned up" version the AM stations played . This one was the FM version.
bought the album for a quarter in the used bin and played the shit out of it. One of the hottest bands of the era! RIP Doug Fieger and Bruce Gary. And the "soul patch" was actually called an 'imperial". FYI
These guys can still rock....one of my favorite songs EVER! Just heard Doug Feiger is ill. Hoping you get well soon, Doug. We Knack fans need you around for a loooooong time to come.
Rest in peace Doug. You were a great insiration and you sang it like you felt it. Like it or not, raw truth.
You will be greatly missed.
