My civic si is very old compared to this one an 06 with 98K miles and I still love the way it runs and drives, handles tight and runs great.

The only difference I could see was the traction control switch on the left of the steering wheel, which I can do without.

@ballucanb1 I checked thru my owners manual and there is no mention of traction control, so I do believe it does not have it.

Possibly it wasn't on the 06 car, so far I haven't had the car in any snow so I couldn't tell you, but I'm sure I will be able to tell you after a bit.

I have a 2010 showroom brochure and it shows on the ex model, and up VSA is standard, I did have an 07 lx coupe and I know that car didn't have it

I live in NE Pennsylvania so snow is on its way soon I'm sure.LOL

@AndyRoddick969 I read a post at the honda civic forum that said if you have a civic with traction control you can turn it off by pressing the button and holding it until it beeps.

This shuts off the throttle control, slowing the engine, and the modulation of the brakes, the brake on the wheel that spins is stopped by applying brake to that wheel by the abs, and the power is controlled by the fly by wire gas pedal.

In other words you can shut off the TC, and have control of everything .

I've test driven a 2010 Honda Civic Si Coupe, it kinda sucks that i could only take it through town and residental area, but still, I LOVE the car. handles amazing, clutch has next to nothing to it, sounds great, ... it just makes me feel like a kid again. I would love to have one, but in sedan model, for the room, and cheaper insurance. 5/5. Honda's the best street driven car in the world in my opinion

my girlfriend and I just bought an 09 and love the futuristic interior. Lots of friends liken it to a "Space Pod", and i think that's a good way to put it. I just installed a "flux capacitor" under my arm rest! Where to Scotty? :) p.s. good power for a 4.

Did it take some time to get acclimated to the two-tier dash? I sat in one of these at an auto show, and it felt awkward. The vast expanse of plastic, and not being able to see the top of the hood. I was straining my neck like granny driving her Olds. That said, there will be little to stop me from acquiring a new Si.

yes it did. i always had cars that didnt have a two tier dash and non digital speedometer. (sp?)

after a couple weeks it grows on you and you love it.

and u will understand the practicality of why its placed like that.

Yeah, it took me a month or two to realize. Nice car you got there. Mine is a 2007 and I wish they came with the bumper lips like these new models. Instead, I have to pay about $1000 to get it from HFP. All in good time... :)

left wheel by the CD player is the volume and on off button

bottom wheel is the fan control as in how low or high u want the fan to run.

On the car I drive now I don't ever look at the speedometer directly. I use peripheral and know the approximates of the numbers. I drove a friend's civic and I love the car but for the life of me couldn't get use to the digital speedometer.

I was looking at VW Rabbit, Volvo C30 or C40, this car, BMW 3 series coupe (that might be pushing it) ... think that's it.

ahh rabbit is cool but the stuff inside feel kinda cheap, like lots of plastic stuff. but i havent test drove any of the other ones you have chosen.

your best bet is to test drive all the cars u like.

yea i had a 08 civic lx which had about like 120 horse or something. then i got the 09 Si and its got 197 horse. huge difference.

no you can't turn the Day Time Running Lights off. but i know you can modify it to have them shut.

yep, it has Day Time Running lights. so there are dim lights always on.

dude tell me about the anti-theft auto immobilizer system...I believe it has to do with a digital chip inside the key containing a pw, to prevent car theft....

i know there is a anti theft for the radio where if the battery somehow disconnects from the car you have to enter a code in the radio to unlock ur radio to make it work again.

With some brands here in Europe it's even worse.

E.G. Renault connects its anti-theft start block mecanism to the controle pannel of its inbuild radio!

The radio being modern makes no impact on the difficulty to replace it... I swapped mine out for a Pioneer D3 with ease. The radio itself is no different. It looks different because of all the buttons but when you remove the center dash piece you see how simple it is.
