what the difference if my ram memory 8GB

I'm purchasing the Radeon HD 6770 (800MHz - 800 Cores - 1 GB DDR5 (4.0Gbps). How well will it opperate on my old Athlon 64x2 (2.60GHz)... (FYI - I plan to upgrade in the near future to at least a quad core) The reason im getting the 6770 is because i can pick it up at newegg for $79.99. Also im buying a PSU and im on a budget.
My question is.. How many fps on average will i get at low/med settings, and if it's possible high settings(w/o AA & FA)? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I am running Crysis 2 maxed with DX11 Ultra and high res add on enabled. Hardware--i7950, WD HLHX Velociraptor HDD x 2 in raid 0, GTX 580 1536 MB x 2 SLI, 6GB Corsair Dominator ram, and Corsair AX1200 power supply--W764. No OC on anything. I am having a lot of random crashing. Recommended spec for the game is 8GB of ram for the above settings. I have tried various drivers--wondering if having only 6 GB of ram could be an issue. Also getting random screen tearing--seems to run better windowed.
