Looks quite fast, how does it perform vertically, can you just go straight up for say 20 seconds? I've not flown EDF and am interested in getting something, but it will have to be able to have almost unlimited vertical performance to make me want one.

I have this plane... it is AWESOME! I'm running a 2250 mah 25c Lipo that weighs about 225 grams, so i mount my battery much farther back... the only thing i would definitely say is beef up the area around the tailerons with plywood, and i changed my linkages to the Dubro cause i didnt trust the ones that came with it... its my first EDF... and now i've been bitten by the need for speed... building a 110 mph Funjet right now... :)

...and would you say that the distance flown in one direction is more than 300 meters ? I have a spektrum dx6 which is park fly distance, short range

Yes, its an 1800mah 3s 25c Lipo, as for distance, its a tricky one to answer, I never fly to far away as I have a perception problem, I think at 300 meters it would be a dot anyway! Hope this helps

Yes, totally, the performance did lessen after many many flights, but still more than enough for fun, and the motor and esc did outlive the airframe....... :)

I am thinking about getting one of these, i have the t-28 trojan from parkzone, and i have maxed out the control throws, but i am looking for another foamie with a wider performance and i think this plane looks to cool to leave on the shelves, any advice??

Go for it, As long as you fly it like a real jet, nice and smooth, its a peach to fly.

how long does it take to charge?? and how long would it last 4??

It takes about one and a half hours to charge the 1800mah lipo through a balancer, I get about 5-7 mins flight with it
