@ComfortablyNumbed looking carefully at facial expressions, very clear he is bottom burping frequently in whilst playing, only the music hides the rude smell noises.
@purplejocko4 Hey there, thanks a lot. You know I never really listened to Vinnie, but I am aware that he's one hell of a player, so thanks again for the compliment.
WELL, there go my chances of ever thinking I was any good..... this guy just blew me away.... in all his playing I only just heared one single note off...only one single note....Malmsteen himself makes more mistakes than this guy...!!! wow.... absolutely amazing.... and the tone....perfect as anyone can ever get one...!!!
I love yngwie's guitar. The scalloped frets really help you play fast and comfortably. Unfortunately until you get used to it ur fingers will hurt like hell from bends. Personally I would rather play on a les paul. Some say its got a chunky neck which is crap for shredding but I beg to differ. Oh and nice improv man.
Hey man awesome jam! you got sick skills:D What kind of amp are you using? sounds like you got the DOD YJM box too. i dont know but sounds like it:) 5 stars:) Good work!
Thanks dude, the amp is just acting as a speaker, little more than that (though it does smooth the tone a bit and make it less harsh). The bulk of the tone comes from a Digitech RP100, BOSS SD1 and the Strat. I guess my fingers play their part too but you know, gear wise... thats all. No DOD lol.
Oh yeah, well you got pretty clean sound and playin with good skills here. Your sweep skills is awesome:) cant rly sweep so good myself yet, but i'll get there^^ takes alot of practise though :P
RHCP, that is a very sweet thing to say and I thank you for it most sincerely. But Yngwie could definately play it with such feeling lol. People who merely glance at the guy seem ignorant to how much feeling he has, those of us who have learned to know him and his playing better, know he has BAGS of the stuff. You probably know this, but for any passers by looking in I thought it worth mentioning.
Really GREAT!!! AWESOME!!! THAT REALLY SOUNDS LIKE MALMSTEEN'S GUITAR!! AND YOUR IMPRO. IS EXCELLENT...... I 'VE SPENT SOME TIME WATCHIN VIDEOS AND THIS REALLY RULES!!
Thanks Noah, well... my setup consists of Marshall MG50dfx, Dgitech RP100, BOSS SD1, Cry Baby Wah and Highway1/Standard Strat hybrid with Hot Noiseless Single Coils. The tone I get comes from My head and hands and then the pedals and the guitar while the amp acts as a speaker more than anything, amplifying the sound I get from everything else. I recorded direct with all of that and it just kinda sounds nice enough to use I find.
Thanks high, I think more than anything, the most important thing for me about this style of playing is how it flows together and how good ones intonation is. That's the kind of stuff I work on a hell of alot more than shredding. Shredding frankly gets pretty stale pretty quickly infact. A flurry here and there will do me fine I reckon.
Yo Brad, nah man, using a BOSS SD1 infact. You know how it is, get a vintage sounding overdrive tone to start with, quite a weak signal one, then boost the bastard with an OD pedal. I tend to find any OD pedal will do the job if the original signal is right. Don't you ?.
Hey Al, thanks man, what you wanna do is record line in and then match it all up in the video thing you are using. But you can't record line in can ya, hmm... it's a bugger to find a way around I guess.
Very beautiful legato and amazing sound.....Cheers .

a LITTLE more gain please, otherwise it's neat.

lol MP, I have since added more gain to my tone. But truth be told, for those older Malmsteen tunes, I quite like a really smooth sounding tone.

reminds me of uli jon roth. he is the proof that you can shred with an almost clean sound. so i'd rather consider it something positive.
