Well deaf people don't need a Handicap parking permit because they drive like hearing people do. I know that they can't hear anything while they are driving but they need to be AWARE and look at the mirrors. Just drive careful.

In 1990 I filled out for HC license for my first wife as her right side are partly paralyzed for my pick-up truck. After she passed away in 1992, I never parked HC until I donated my truck in 1996 and I removed HC license. I never use HC license since. In Virginia, you can fill out for HC if you are deaf. When I moved to Virginia, they asked me if I need one. I said "NO WAY!" I only need ASL interpreter!
@JOlson707 I am very sorry about your wife!! I understand that your wife have GOOOD reason to have HC parking as she does have paralyze. I did mentioned in my video that any deaf people who have handicap have a good reason to have HC parking while we the deaf people with no HC, we dont need it. Many deaf get hit by car because they did not hear a car coming that why they set up law allow deaf park in HC parking space to prevent accidents. I agree with what others said about not all deaf people are lazy. You ought to be careful before you say "deaf people" which should be "some". You can't finger-point at them BECAUSE I have seen hearing young people use the HC placards and they look normally and walk physically. You can do NOTHING about it but I agree that the people ABUSE in alot of ways -- Welfare recipients live off of the government assistance programs whether deaf or not.

hi and your vlog really is good, but but but in Ohio state itself had changed it s law that no deaf can get away with handicapped card anymore. It is only for a real handicapped instead of deaf.

many deaf get hit by car bec not hear. that why they set up law allow deaf park in hc space to prevent accidents. since i am architect, i have to draw 9 spaces for every 1000 cars. if less than 50, provide one space for hc. i agree with you that deaf abuse hc tag. remember, do not judge your friend because law allows your friend to get it.

@Toojinxed4u yes i agree. i saw several deaf people do that. i refuse to do that and believe in my principle. my old boss used to tell me that i have no idea that i dont hear cars coming that is dangerous and said please always look out every 3 sec. it was good advice that i still use today.

The woman who did this should have set up her video so that we can see her well...there were some shades on her meaning something is reflecting between her and the normal light...but she nails it...the Deaf people should not exploit the HC parking permit because they can't hear...this is for the physically disabled who needs parking close to the building...when I said physically disabled, I am referring to those in wheelchairs or on crutches

my friends deaf and he rides four wheelers and everything. he reads lips real well. the sad thing is is that he doesnt talk because he will sound like he has a voice impediment just because he cant hear the tone of his own voice. i mostly hold full conversations with himm on facebook or ill text him when he is next to me.

I only use HC parking at really really late nighttime like after 10pm. because i can't see good in dark, and I am deaf. plus im kinda scared of being dark. hah! kinda embrassing but its helpful only when i need go out really late.

I do use HC parking for short walk when 1 or 2 legs swollen from blood clot therefore other time i walk lil far as I can on better health condition. snowbirds & local people are lazy , too when i watch them out of vehicles walking fine....FULLA BS!!!!

I have to agree with you cuz I do have a deaf cousin who have CP and she used the handicapped cuz of her legs not her deafness. I am deaf and I can walk. So I can park where I want to not in the handicapped. Beside I would reather walk in a long way good exercise. :D

I know a college educated deaf man who can walk without any problem.... he still uses the HC (handicapped) ticket to park in the HC parking space. It is really an embarrassment because he has no respect for HC people. It will be a bad luck for him one day.
@darlingdi91405 some Deaf are always saying that they are NOT handicapped, and don't want to be looked at as such...until it benefits them in some way, as w/ the HC parking spaces. When I'm in a busy parking lot or where there is a risk of being hit, I am always careful and do not just rely on my hearing to keep me safe. Some cars are very quiet. You have to keep your eyes peeled. After all, people get hit by cars all the time, and I would bet that the large majority of them are not deaf.
I would like to point out that as I am deaf.. I have nearly been hit be a car multiple times in a parking lot while walking to the store. People think we can hear them closely passing us and if we step in the wrong direction.. we get hit. I don't have a Handicap permit but my family wishes I would get one. I just got missed by a car again last week. So think on that........

That's very true. It's so sad for someone who does that and make it difficult for innocent people. However I must say some ppl have disabilities that do not relates to the wheelchair. They do really need to have the disability card because of their hands, arms, shoulder, seizure, heart conditions and etc. Some have those painful conditions where they cannot lift heavy items or groceries. There is no application for these people like me. It's no fun for me to tolerate those pains after I carried.
@carljones992 i am more than happy to walk 20 miles in parking lot. i had hip resurface. it was hell and i hated walking more than 50 feet because i had to sit down and rest. now i am happy to walk long way to store and get healthy exercise.

I amit to use that for helper only :D, Til 2014 depends on Her Health shes 81, I agreed but i have seen people who use Handicape not Deaf but Hearing people TOO! depends on when i have seen they parked and walked fast, so i have a Freiends who is Cp, of course Share i drive for him, and i got Handicap for Old lady who carry Breathing Problems, Dr gave me permit for her and me, Sweet, but limit time :D but Really honest I use for Her but not for me i park normal. only

I agree with what others said about not all deaf people are lazy. You ought to be careful before you say "deaf people" which should be "some". You can't finger-point at them BECAUSE I have seen hearing young people use the HC placards and they look normally and walk physically. You can do NOTHING about it but I agree that the people ABUSE in alot of ways -- Welfare recipients live off of the government assistance programs whether deaf or not.

hi and your vlog really is good, but but but in Ohio state itself had changed it s law that no deaf can get away with handicapped card anymore. It is only for a real handicapped instead of deaf.
I am so glad that Ohio changed it s law so deafies can walk !!!!!!!!!!!! I support you all the way. I do get a handicap due to my copd...(emphysema stage 2) need to park nearest when it s too cold or too hot weather. XO

many deaf get hit by car bec not hear. that why they set up law allow deaf park in hc space to prevent accidents. since i am architect, i have to draw 9 spaces for every 1000 cars. if less than 50, provide one space for hc. i agree with you that deaf abuse hc tag. remember, do not judge your friend because law allows your friend to get it.

The woman who did this should have set up her video so that we can see her well...there were some shades on her meaning something is reflecting between her and the normal light...but she nails it...the Deaf people should not exploit the HC parking permit because they can't hear...this is for the physically disabled who needs parking close to the building...when I said physically disabled, I am referring to those in wheelchairs or on crutches

my friends deaf and he rides four wheelers and everything. he reads lips real well. the sad thing is is that he doesnt talk because he will sound like he has a voice impediment just because he cant hear the tone of his own voice. i mostly hold full conversations with himm on facebook or ill text him when he is next to me.

I only use HC parking at really really late nighttime like after 10pm. because i can't see good in dark, and I am deaf. plus im kinda scared of being dark. hah! kinda embrassing but its helpful only when i need go out really late.

I do use HC parking for short walk when 1 or 2 legs swollen from blood clot therefore other time i walk lil far as I can on better health condition. snowbirds & local people are lazy , too when i watch them out of vehicles walking fine....FULLA BS!!!!

I have to agree with you cuz I do have a deaf cousin who have CP and she used the handicapped cuz of her legs not her deafness. I am deaf and I can walk. So I can park where I want to not in the handicapped. Beside I would reather walk in a long way good exercise. :D

@darlingdi91405 some Deaf are always saying that they are NOT handicapped, and don't want to be looked at as such...until it benefits them in some way, as w/ the HC parking spaces. When I'm in a busy parking lot or where there is a risk of being hit, I am always careful and do not just rely on my hearing to keep me safe. Some cars are very quiet. You have to keep your eyes peeled. After all, people get hit by cars all the time, and I would bet that the large majority of them are not deaf.

I would like to point out that as I am deaf.. I have nearly been hit be a car multiple times in a parking lot while walking to the store. People think we can hear them closely passing us and if we step in the wrong direction.. we get hit. I don't have a Handicap permit but my family wishes I would get one. I just got missed by a car again last week. So think on that........

That's very true. It's so sad for someone who does that and make it difficult for innocent people. However I must say some ppl have disabilities that do not relates to the wheelchair. They do really need to have the disability card because of their hands, arms, shoulder, seizure, heart conditions and etc. Some have those painful conditions where they cannot lift heavy items or groceries. There is no application for these people like me. It's no fun for me to tolerate those pains after I carried.

@carljones992 i am more than happy to walk 20 miles in parking lot. i had hip resurface. it was hell and i hated walking more than 50 feet because i had to sit down and rest. now i am happy to walk long way to store and get healthy exercise.
