easy, the water flowing in is pushing through ther is no are so there is constant pressure just like blowing water out of a straw up youre aplying pressure to force it up thats what the river is dooing. river = mouth tunnel = straw

From the bottom of the gully to the outlet is uphill...illustrating the power of water seeking it's own level...

It's the weight of the upstream water that forces it to flow uphill for that section.

i know whats goin on, ill try to explain.

the water level where it floats out, is lower than the level where the water is going in the pipe.

it's some law with preasure i forgot it's name. but you can do the same to a cars-gaseline-tank, (to e.g. steal the gaseline xD(no i never did that before))

@timmyzeewolde look for colima zona magica and a video from watemala called water runing up hill and try to explane it i myself was in colima mexico to experience it and it didn had any logical explanation due to the gravity of even my own body on rollerskates being atracted to the upper part of the hill believe me it was spooky
