  • Most excellent song, and a great job on the video! Who is that who appears at about 1:11?

  • Most excellent song, and a great job on the video!

  • Must learn the charleston! I love Parker Gibbs vocals with Ted Weems.

  • Preciosa, amable, romántica, recordable. Me alegra la vida............. César

  • I used this for a play I did! Thanks so much for posting! It was perfect

  • Geesh you been on here a while 2007? Lol. You have such good music tatse

  • wonderful old recording- thanks so much for this-

talented musicians, great fox trot, happy music from just before the crash- but it was music like this from these bands that gave so many people a little pleasure in the dark times that were to come.

  • delightful! - good illustrations too!

  • This is so delightful! Great images too. I just love this post, and I thank you for sharing it.

  • There was a Ted Weems touring ghost band into the 1980's. Danced to them in St. Pete. in the 80's.

  • Three cheers for Youtube! To make it so easy to log in each night and listen to music from every "modern" era. So many real gems, especially for folk with catholic tastes. Thabnks also everyone for uploading - especially these 20s great tunes. 7th Heaven!!!!!

  • great orchestra

  • Recorded at Victor's Camden, N.J. studio on September 4, 1928.....

  • Lively energetic playing and singing. Nice dolls in frilly dresses.

  • I detect a few echoes of "Baby Face," companion song to "I'm Looking Over a 4 leaf Clover." The Art Mooney rendition was popular in the late 40's, early 50's. I think you downloaded the "Clover" song a while back, but with a different band. C'est vrai?

  • It sounds like and Rust confirms that it is Parker Gibbs, Weem's most frequently used vocalist. Gibbs also played clarinet and tenor sax.

  • Great record. Weems had a distinctive sound that was easily recognizable (even without the Parker Gibbs vocal)

  • Exquisite version.

  • Nice music, and good deco sheet music cover and adverts. Enjoyed them.........
