We can easily see the other planets because we know exactly where they are. If Nemesis is a brown dwarf, and did not reflect light as much as the other more shiny planets, and was obscured within a cloud of dust and debris, then it would not be distinguishable from other dust and debris in the solar system, until it moves through a certain point.

I heard that since Nibiru hit Earth (Tiamut) a long time ago. This threw the Earth off a perfect 360 days to go around the Sun to 365 and 1/4. Nibiru was also affect. Nibiru's 3600 year cycle to go around the Sun grew too. Thus it is believed that 2012 would have been the time that Nibiru came around, but now it is somewhere in the 2900 year period. Man that is too far from today. We won't be seeing anything in our lifetime. And the Illums will make sure to use the hype to get control of us.

One thing to consider, if this star is headed towards our solar system it would appear to be sitting still. If it is a small star it may appear to look as if it is farther away when it could be almost here. And, seeing it is suppose to have an orbit not in alignment with the rest of the solar system then that too could be why it has not been found, that is if it even exists..
