  • @idonteatturtles i dont have a accent but i love her accent it so nice to listen to so if u dont like dont watch and dont answer me saying i can see what ever i want to cuz i dont care i do care is that u offened people who dont give a shit for u :/

  • What does dear mom want? Love, respect and of course, cookies!!

  • i hate northern accents, they're so hard on the ears, southern accents are addicting to listen to

  • i really don't see why people hate southern accents i find them both charming and attractive

  • I am so excited to try this out with my lil one. Paula you are the best <3

  • Paula and I are from the same town, and while I cannot stand the accent (I do think it makes one sound uneducated, especially outside the South), she's clearly a very bright woman. I don't think any of us have our own cooking show based on butter!

  • lol! the funny thing is that the person who says bad things about paula doesnt have a t.v. show about doing something they love.

  • Yeah Paula deen wooooh

  • agh im STARVING

  • that blue cookie was too pretty to eat! paula deen rocks!

  • Where can I find meringue powder? I always use cream of tarter for my meringue, is that the same thing? I want to make these cookies the end of this week for Christmas Day.

  • i like the way she says cookie coo-ke

  • Hollywood movies are more guilty of reinforcing Southern stereotypes than the sweet, regional-cooking, matron, Paula Deen.

MichaelJFan4Real & LuvLife, both of you are misinterpreting her intentions. Paula Deen does not reinforce any negative stereotypes; she is just being herself. Her accent, recipes, manner are hers; though she may generalize at times, most folks are smart enough to know its her style and some people share it.

  • Yummy! I love Paula. =)

  • looks like blue cum...

  • i love paula's accent it's soo different than evryone else's keep doin' ur thang paula

  • Hey yall it's pola deen

  • I tried this icing recipe this year with my sugar cookies. It was perfect! I divided the icing into small bowls and added different colors of food coloring to them. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla to the whole thing. If you want some to stay pure white, then don't add the vanilla to that portion. When the icing sets up it's firm, but not as hard as royal icing. It tasted great!

  • do you bake the cookies with the frosting on or you bake the cookies first

  • Are you pulling my leg?

You can see from the video that the cookies that she is decorating have already been baked.

  • lol ok

  • Go Vikings

  • she usually trys heer derserts maybe they arent edible

  • dude those are edible

  • Where do you get those pretty edible pearls?

  • I have seen the edible pearls at Michael's Crafts. They also carry edible glitters in the cake decorating dept.

For the colored ones just google silver or gold dragees. You should find a website that has them. If you live in California, they won't send them to you because they are banned here. It's a stupid law!

  • When she gets older she looks better. In the first Paula Deen episodes she looked kinda ugly, no she looks cool.

  • For one, she's richer and I'm sure she's had work done. Remember those puffy rings under her eyes from her earlier shows? she had those removed somehow....and it wasn't botox! But she's looking really beautiful these days isn't she 'Yall"

  • I tried meringue powder...it tastes nasty. Use milk or egg whites instead.

  • paula can cook i love the way she makes her desserts!

  • The icing has a fabulous color!

    I love it!

  • I'm not even from the South, but I don't like when snotty northerners try to look down on those people. Having a certain dialect does not mean you're slow. Thinking dialect has anything to do with how educated you are, that's a different story. Boston is famous for its schools and education. We all know how proper that accent is.

  • I was amazed at the comments that MELVYD2. I grew up in TN and live in KY. Being Southern and having the southern talk is the best part of being Southern. Don't get mad, get educated? I found that to be rude. I guess according to MELVYD2 all Southern people are not education!

  • Texans only understand two things: how much sweet/fat food needs, and when it's okay to kill someone

  • and also, isn't that just colored royal icing?

  • What's meringue powder? Is that the same as cream of tartar?

  • meringue powder is dehydrated egg whites. Cream of tartar is not.

  • im hungry

  • How rude! I am from the south and have multiple degrees. Not so dumb...

  • your an idiot

its just her accent we all ahve different accents depending on what part of the country we come from

  • i am in the north!lol

  • lol im texan

  • Oh yes people from up north have much better pronunciation, just listen to anybody from New jersey or North Dakota.. LMAO

  • Comment removed

  • I know a lady that graduated college in southern Mississippi, smart enough to know not to make stupid comments on peoples accents and pay attention to the recipes.... I have NEVER had a problem understanding her- of course she asks for the restroom- not the terlet!

  • I like all the different accents we have in America. I live in California and I think our accent is very generic~Not terribly interesting. Listening to this gal~ I had a big old smile on my face the entire time!

  • I wasn't aware people from California had an accent.

And believe me, I can pick out accents like it's not even funny. I'm from Minnesota too.

  • I didn't think we have one either, but a few people from other states have told me that we do! It was news to me! I didn't think it stands out at all.

  • I totally agree with you. I am from the south and well educated. And if MELVYD2 was too, this person would know the difference between an opinion and an fact. What he or she stated was an very stupid opinion. And that is a fact!

  • You and carebear are clearly educated.

  • I agree, but who can hate Paula Deen? She's just so lovable.

  • sounds you are not educated! melvyds

  • Whatever. You're probably just a snob because no one cares about our accents down here. We are very educated down here hon. And it's a difference between lazy speaking and uneducated speaking. Big Diff. So why don't you shove a cookie in your mouth and Hush On Up Darlin'!

  • @MichaelJfan4real dont be so racist at least she has her own show probably she is educated and she just has an accent

  • @MichaelJfan4real wow, that was the nicest way of bein mean ever.

  • @plushieboy1234 Lol. My comment wasn't directed to Paula just so you know. It was to someone who said that southern people were uneducated. Some started a whole argument with me because they thought my comment was towards Paula. But Thanks.

  • ...........

  • I'm assuming meringue powder is cream of tartar...

  • Meringue Powder is used instead egg whites, its available at cake decorating places, or even Wal-Mart!

  • She rocks!

  • She's awesome. I made these earlier. :P

  • It's just a sugar cookie that's done differently just for the holidays erodog. Plus, Sugar cookies didn't originate in the south. They have been before America even existed. So stop using race because you don't have a clue what your talking about

  • dude...that coloring looks toxic. brr.

  • i love how she says" beautiful cookie" LOL

  • Southern cooking the BEST!
