  • @hsp692 Good oberservation. However the reason we didn't put gas struts to hold the hood up????????????

    Gas struts will cause the fiberglass Super Snake hood to bow in the middle because the gas struts cause constant pressure.

    Besides, the hood is supposed to be down so we can go fast!! :)

    You think that's loud you should see what it sounds like in the car at 200 MPH!

  • We're actually running an 18 x 11.5 in the rear with OEM back spacing. We're also running a tall Hoosier R100 Road Racing slick. 30mm should be ok as long as you are not planning on a rear brake kit or brake upgrade. Texas Mile does not allow drag radials and the tires have to have the proper speed rating for in excess of 200 MPH.

  • Awesome car! Just wondering what wheel and tire sizes you guys are running and what offsets? I love the stance your car has and my mustang needs more rear tire so I've been looking at 20x10.5 with a 30mm offset and I think that's close to what your running?

    It's got Oliver Billet Rods and Custom Diamond Pistons. Motor is just fine.

    Check my other video of The Fastest Supercharged GT500 and Super Snake in the World. Those were WOT pulls at 200 + MPH.

    We were tuning the car added boost and pulled the timing way down. We can make more power but the goal of 1,000 rwhp was achieved and we knew our boost, timing and air/fuel ratios were where they needed to be.

  • I love the car but when you have the same aerodynamics as a brick it's hard to aim for top end! They're made to be a Muscle car, so when you gun it you can woop up on that comaro ss or challenger, or if your racing a classic like a cuda... Not to beat a ferrari... And if its for drag racing you go tube chasis, not a 3700 lbs brick, but still awesome so Good Luck!

    If you search my other videos we accomplished our goal and we are going back for more. We know the aero issues with these cars and that is part of the challenge in doing this. Others have commented why do it supercharged? We wanted to do it with a supercharger all along. Turbo is a different concept. We hit 204.9 and took the standing mile supercharged GT500 and Super Snake record. Thanks for the post!

  • @dactylious have u seen the kugel familys trans am that did 303 avg in 1999 at bonneville?

    while not a stock ta,it did get the record for fastest stock bodies car.

    it reached 308 for a 303 avg.its on you tube under the worlds fastest car(303 mph!)

    That's actually the tires making the noise. They are Toyo R888's. They did that on every dyno. We've since moved on to a Hoosier R100 Road Racing slick.

  • Saw it running this spring at the TX mile getting close to 200 (195 mph) before the trans let go..
