  • it didn't work the first two times because the line wasn't popped hard enough. You have to pop it hard and fast; it will hurt the person more if you pop it half assed and have to do it again. Also, choke up on the line and don't have so much slack between where you're pulling and where the hook is. Its better to run the line through and hold one piece of line in each hand. Pop it straight up (don't have to hold the hook shank down when doing it like this).

  • Take the lure off the hook. you can take needle nose pliers and cut the hook off the bait and his method will work alot better.

  • Ok that time it worked. Move so I can keep recording what a fuckind dick

  • "That time it worked" What happened the first time? LOL

  • Or you could use a disgorger...

  • i bet thats how they got the hook in there...lol

  • rookie

  • that was idiotic you should have removed the tail hook

  • this guys an asshole

  • theres other way.... when u get the hook in hand, u will push the hook so that u can see the sharp edge of the hook pointing out of the skin, but still inside it (bad explain, bad english :D) then ur gonna cut the Sharp out of it and then u can just draw the hook out.

Say if u cant understand a shit XD

  • @F4ToContinue Understandable enough, but more painfull. It can be used in some cases, depending on the way you are hooked. Works well with ears tho.

  • What a retard, cut the other hooks off first so u don't hook yourself again u douchebag!!

  • Cant you just pull it out?

  • @skelet40o0 Nah man, it only looks like you can, hurts like a bitch if you try in a wrong way.

  • Imagine if you pulled it and the hook came out but then hooked by the tail hook lol

  • @ 0:26 I thought the other guy got hooked on the tail barbs. That would have made quite a situation. Both of them hooked on the same lure.....

  • one good reason to use a barbless hook

  • I've had this done to me. I had a hook removal tool in my First Aid pack to use. The fishing line is already attached to a T shaped tool. Seen it done to a friend of mine, whom I stuck in the upper arm with a crankbait. Despite that, wer'e still friends. Take the other hook off first or try to remove the hook from the crankbait, so it's not putting under presssure where it shouldn't be.

  • he pulls it wrong and another one gets stuck

  • wow, fail... i woulda punched him the first time

  • @d3fct

    Seriously!

Clearly his focus was on getting his video, not making sure to lessen the pain - how considerate.

He should have taken the time to really get setup solid, and braced the guy's hand and finger solid so it wasn't a wet noodle in the air.

    What an inconsiderate dumbass.

  • i tried this once my uncle did. he pulled it loose from my hand and got it stuck on his hand then. it was funny

  • what if fish watch this and learn this technique?

  • Good info. Do agree u should of removed the other hooks before he got rehooked.

  • u get that shirt at anglers marine in anaheim?

the guys down there really do a good job.

  • you gotta give it a stiff yank dont tug it you dumb arse

  • pretty informational, i got a rather large treble hook hooked into my hand when we were out deep sea fishing and it was a pain in the ass to take out.

  • The lure was a Dice Baycrap?? =)

  • So did you purposely hook yourself for the purpose of this video?

  • roflmfao!!.. let's just a keep tuggin billy j!!! its gonna hurt like hell til' we get it out.

  • LoL... This shit would've been hella funny if the other guy got hooked too!!

  • do u pull up or do u pull back?

  • 5th time hes like yeah! i got it this time!!

  • Comment removed

  • You ok, Fred? Good. Get out of the way so i can talk to the camera.

  • You should have taken the tail hook off the lures split ring. Im amazed you didnt rehook him..

  • You are the 10th person that has said that. It wouldn't of hurt me.

  • @awesomejohnnet yeah hes a moron you surposed to take all the hooks the arent hooked out so u do rehook him

  • fail on the first two tries. but lucky number 3 you got it :D

  • I got a treble hook in my finger with a 10lb pike attached and its ruined the nerves in my finger so luckily i didnt feel it and after 10 minutes of stupidly trying to rip it out with pliers it just popped out, i still have no feeling in that finger. :L

  • LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

    this is so funnie.

That guy probably got paid to

    get hooked and used :DDDDDD

  • The truth is, I was telling him when we were out fishing the next person that puts a hook in them I was going to film the removal and put it on Youtube. As he was going to his car he droped his pole and the rip bait stuck into his finger. We couldn't belive that it happened.

  • Oh. I see...that makes sense lol.

Still funny that it happend and you got ur

    wish hahaha...

    still funnie.

I did that one but dropped it on my leg

    :/

  • Seemed to work nicely. I went to doctor for mine, the hook was pointing straight down from the fingertip. Doctor cut it and pushed it through

  • My friend was hooked today by BOTH treble hooks, they were bigger that the ones in your video and very deep! A guy was there aand removed them like you did with no problem, said he learned the trick from watching Bill Dance. Thanks for the video!

  • ouchers...

  • That is cool that you took the time to show this when you were hooked, but please note.... hooks are cheap.. cut the other treble off the bait with some dykes... No need to hook yourself twice.

  • Ya I know. Wasn't thinking at the time.

  • i had a hook in my sac once, hurt sooo bad, i tried pulling it out but i ended up setting the hook

  • how do you get a hook in there? nude beach surfcasting?

  • no it was a dare

  • @ps3rulez2008 you sac as in groin?

  • @ps3rulez2008 the propper way to say this is " sacking the hook." XD

  • tip: remove the other treble before you do this..

  • I got a circle hook stuck in my finger one time so I pushed it through the other side, and since it was a circle hooks i had to do it on the blunt side so the pain was worse then I cut the barg and pulled it out its the best feeling ever to know that you got it out you are so relived.

  • Ouch

  • I wish I saw this before last sunday! I got a size 2 treble burried in the end of my thumb, tried to pull it out with pliers, nothin happenin! tried to man up and rip it out! nuthin happenin! ended up at Kaiser

  • Did they cut it out? The Doctors need to know how to do this also.

  • No, after a bunch of numbing injections she twist/bend/pulled/ripped it out, and it wasn't fast. I didn't feel it, she could of bit my finger off and I wouldn't know, then a couple hours later, different story...ouch

  • CAN YOU USE PLIERS TO POP IT OUT?

  • carefull with those top water lures ... i went through a few pairs of shorts because they hook EVERYTHING

  • freind of mine was hooked very simuler

    with a bit bigger hook...and a 20lb seabass

    still hooked to lure.

  • Ouch That had to hurt.

  • similar story i got a trout with a hook like that wen the trout came out the water it kicked and the hook went into my hand so i tried bashing the trout 2 kill it but it just kcked some more and the other hook from the lure went into my thumb

  • Kind of like "Always bring a net: Part 2"

except the bass i had was thankfully only 5 pounds. i feel his pain

  • hehe and we know wut type of mat to use

  • Kind of like "Always bring a net: Part 2"

except the bass i had was thankfully only 5 pounds. i feel his pain

  • yep very simuler, and rubber nets and gafs are another step in preventing getting hooked.

  • I had to go the doctor for mine.

    They did the same thing!

  • i had to go to doctor :(

  • only takes one of those experiences to start mashing your barbs.

  • It works! I did it this past weekend. We did remove the other treble first though :). It hurts pretty bad while the hook is in there, but the removal is painless.

  • Good work, I'd have taken off the other hook at the back though - could have ended up planting that one in his hand too!

  • It was'nt my hand. LOL

  • a guy did this to my friend one time the hook was in deep and he popped it out so fast with the fishing line i turned my head and it was out.the guy that commented about taking the hook off is very correct.

  • that guy should fish barbless..

  • HOLD ON LET ME GET MY NOTEPAD AND PEN

  • Fuck!! (Excuse my French)

But man, that had to hurt.

I guess the old band-aid procedure works.

  • He said it hurt until the hook was out and then it don't hurt at all.

  • I was telling him on the water next time someone puts a hook in them I will vedeo tape removing it for Youtube. When he was going to his truck he dropped his pole that had a bait on it and thats how the hook got in his finger. What are the odds?

  • what did you pay the guy to get himself hooked for the video?

  • this method does work...but be careful of the other loose treble hook...he was lucky that hook didn't get embedded when he pulled...better to take that hook off the lure first...or it could've been a repeat of the problem

  • You are correct. I thought about that after we pulled the hook out.

  • READ THIS ABOUT HOOKS!!!!funny..i just got a hook in my finger..i went to the hospital..i dont reccommend this method even though it is cleaver!! in my case, the barb went under a blood vessel...if you rip it out like this video shows it will create more damage...ANG PAIN!!!! i recommned taking it to the emergency room..your insurance SHOULD pay for the most of it... it is better to PROFESSIONALLY remove it...with anesteshia (sorry, spelled it wrong)
