  • Those fire helments make them look like pussys why dont they get 10 10 helments

  • why dont fire departments really use snorkels anymore??

  • the first fire truck is that a telesquirt?

  • thats squrt 8 and snorkel 2

  • @MrFWDSeagrave the 150 ft. wasn't available until a few years after the 90, 100 and 125 ft. models were released in 1969.

  • @WaffleQuest Yeah I found out later it was a 125. Thanks.

  • @nyshortline hope it didn't come across that I was busting your balls-- i'm interested in the "firsts" and record breakers from here and there too and found myself researching that particular rig a few months ago.

  • @WaffleQuest No sweat.

  • Truck one...Philly doesnt have trucks..we have engines and ladders..and that happens to be Squirt 8 (RIP) and Snorkel 2...not to be to hard on you...

  • @MrFWDSeagrave Squirt 8 is out of service but im not sure about Snorkle 2. If you go on my page and find Battalion 4 responding that was filmed at this station just last friday morning.

  • @MrFWDSeagrave This station isn't closed down. They still run reserve units and a battalion out of here.

  • aaaah snorkel 2 i remeber going to see this station when i was about 10 idk if it was the same exact truck but i got a pic of me my dad and my bro in frotn of it and the guys there were nice enough to let us look around it was great

  • That would be Engine 8 &Snorkel 2 from

4th and Arch St,heading west on Arch St.

  • RIP truck one.....eliminated by corrupt and clueless politicians.

  • i like that 2nd truck that's an awsome ladder truck

  • Snorkle 2

  • PFD has A LOT of Snorkels. Very nostalgic. STAY SAFE!

  • who cares if it is KME or Eone. It is a snorkel. I didn't know that even made those anymore. Too freakin awesome

  • Actually thats a KME Snorkel

  • awesome video

  • That snorkel loooks very cool

  • sure they weren't just running up to the bank at 9th and arch cause ive seen that a few times what a waste of diesel

  • it was a segrave but like two months ago its now a kme "ladder tower 5"

  • The first engine pulling out was squrt 8 now Out of service, and the truck was Snorkel 2. Ladder tower 5 is on Broad St. near bainbridge.

  • yeah i know....i was replying to someones question about the snorkels

  • Do you know: is this the station off of South Street (maybe a block or two)? STAY SAFE!

  • yeah, it is.

  • As of today, this firehouse is no longer able to put out fire.

Once again, Democratic run city fails to relieve budget problems, so it closes fire companies.

Public safety should be the last thing to ever be scrapped.

Squrt 8 is now out of service, probably forever. That leaves only Snorkel 2 to cover that local, a rig that carries no water...

    What nonsense.

  • Christ..

  • sooner er later the idiots in the mayors office are gonna be like "oh crap maybe we shoulda not closed that firehouse.."

  • I love that snorkel, I wish theyd keep them

  • I have to agree

  • Does anyone know what company manufactures the PFD's handtools? (Axes, Helmets etc.)

  • Helmets would be either Cairns/MSA or Bullard, Tools I have no idea on.

  • helmets are bullard.....and their tools are the brand name

  • Nice ALF

  • If you want to see a good fire truck you will have to go to West Oak Lane section of philly engine 63 got there new truck which was a La France in 2004 in the 4th grade my class room was directly across the street from the fire station. I would always visit every morning before school would start. I remember one time engine 63 sprayed our classroom window I was scared as ----. BTW engine 63 was a DEAMON

  • got to love that ALF squirt. How many do u guys Have?

  • We have 4 ALFs and 2 Seagraves.

  • pumper,ladder truck, on a call

  • cool..this is my dads former firehouse..i remember spending time here with sparky..philadelphias official fire dog at the time
