@nyshortline hope it didn't come across that I was busting your balls-- i'm interested in the "firsts" and record breakers from here and there too and found myself researching that particular rig a few months ago.
@MrFWDSeagrave Squirt 8 is out of service but im not sure about Snorkle 2. If you go on my page and find Battalion 4 responding that was filmed at this station just last friday morning.
aaaah snorkel 2 i remeber going to see this station when i was about 10 idk if it was the same exact truck but i got a pic of me my dad and my bro in frotn of it and the guys there were nice enough to let us look around it was great
If you want to see a good fire truck you will have to go to West Oak Lane section of philly engine 63 got there new truck which was a La France in 2004 in the 4th grade my class room was directly across the street from the fire station. I would always visit every morning before school would start. I remember one time engine 63 sprayed our classroom window I was scared as ----. BTW engine 63 was a DEAMON

@MrFWDSeagrave the 150 ft. wasn't available until a few years after the 90, 100 and 125 ft. models were released in 1969.

As of today, this firehouse is no longer able to put out fire.
Once again, Democratic run city fails to relieve budget problems, so it closes fire companies.
Public safety should be the last thing to ever be scrapped.
Squrt 8 is now out of service, probably forever. That leaves only Snorkel 2 to cover that local, a rig that carries no water...
What nonsense.
