@aykutminiklii - If it has a tremolo, it will. However, I really would recommend using one with a Floyd Rose whammy arm, cause otherwise doing this will probably get your guitar horribly out of tune.

@rocknotpop1990 On a hardtail, none that i know of, on a strat style trem, you can get the same effect by dumping the bar first, then play the harmonic, and slowly raise it back up to the tone you want.

6th fret harmonic = dominate 7 of open string; i.e., on the G string, 6th fret is F. Just figured that out on the bass. Bridge pickup makes it cut thru ok on a J-bass. Not sure if it comes thru on electric guitar?? It's a weak harmonic compared to 5th, 7th & 12th frets.

@ebasss depends on how much drive you are using... if i want harmonics out of 2,3,4 more treble and drive and i get them as clear as the natural 5,7,12

your not even bending from a particular note in a scale to another note in the scale. you cant just bend randomly you have to know where you will bend to (ex. 2nd to the 4th, 3 to the 6th etc.)

you can do it on other strings.. its just the G string isnt too heavy and it isnt too light.. so it has good hard tone and sustain so it carries the sound better with harmonics with the trem bar

ah, now i know why you dont like your tremolo position, cuz you're playing in a bad angle position. after a whileits indeed become a habit. try to put your guitar in your right thigh, or on your left thigh but the end of the body is between of both thgh. its like playing an acoustic guitar. hoped it helps.

pick a stiring. Dive down. tap a harmonic. go crazy with the whammy bar. I recommend using an Ibanez ZR or an Original Floyd Rose for this. They are both reliable trems.
