i loved his drawing...however i feel he tries way to hard to be accepted in the art world. Nobody should count on one man "hockney" to say if he was a true artist or not. especially since hockney and his styles are polar opposites. to be honest i'd look art Billy Pappas's stuff over hockney's any day but he really needs to work on confidence and to just do it because he loves it. He makes it seem like the only thing he cares about is getting rich and famous because he drew a great picture...

Hockney is a great artist-

Billy put all his eggs in one (marylin' basket) and well thats all there was.....one big load... shot- maybe he should move out of his parents house....and work on some drawings of living people ... he seems like a nice boy ( at 38)

I knew Billy personally, I worked with him at the restaurant he tended bar at in the movie- I'm actually in it for a second. And he truly is one of the most sincere and genuine people you'll ever meet. I only wish it had worked out better for him.

As for the movie, it was very much a "Rocky-like" story, so needless to say, I loved it. Billy is art's Italian stallion... no homo.

Yeah I was never a big hockney fan and after seeing this documentary my opinion of him went into the gutter.
