Dante can die if he takes enough damage, but SMG rounds and Katana slashes won't bring him down that easily, unless Deadpool gets a lot of hits in. However, seeing as Dante has demonstrated being able to counter bullets with his own, it will be hard to hit him, and that is without factoring his speed. The fight would not end. It is a useless argument.

@termi7 Its technically made by Capcom, they made Ryu basically the "balance" character, Chris one of the best "sniper" characters, Jill another really good rushdown character, and Dante one of the strongest characters if you figure out how to use his moves (really hard...he's got like 40 or something)
Reason: Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Devil May Cry are Capcom's best franchises so they're willing to power them up a bit at the cost of them being more challenging to use

I was expecting Dante to have a buckload of moves considering he's got like what...80 in DMC3 and 4? But dang man in a 2D environment, controlling him is kinda hard, same with Chris or Jill since Resident Evil became a shooter. I found Ryu the easiest to figure out of any character but whew, Chris and Dante are tough
@cemtexx deadpool would never lose, so that was a fail. Deadpool disintegrated and rebuilt himself. Dante may be demon but I'm pretty sure even Dante couldn't do that.

Above that, it was also said in the comics that Deadpool was essentially immortal, since Death was in love with him.

In theory Deadpool is supposed to be able to take as much damage as Dante but Dante has so far taken WAY more punishment than Deadpool ever has and has accomplished way tougher objectives. But dang man in a 2D environment, controlling him is kinda hard, same with Chris or Jill since Resident Evil became a shooter. I found Ryu the easiest to figure out of any character but whew, Chris and Dante are tough

@cemtexx deadpool would never lose, so that was a fail. Deadpool disintegrated and rebuilt himself. Dante may be demon but I'm pretty sure even Dante couldn't do that.

Dante: Theoretically speaking he COULD die since his regeneration is only on when he turns on his DT however, it still takes a ton to kill him seeing all the crap he goes through but as you can see: He can completely avoid getting hit even once by bullets, or swords so...you're looking at a battle that'd last for quite a while, especially since I say both are giving maybe...10% effort or so?

Deadpool rebuilds himself as you said so there's no way to kill him...you can beat him for a bit but you can't kill him and he'll come back

From what i remember Dante has been impaled 5 times, headshot 3 times (caught the third bullet with his teeth) and hit by a motorcycle with electricity....and then the bike exploded. And he still wasn't even close to dieing.
When I see Deadpool(as awesome as he is) or Bayonetta(cuz people claim she can beat Dante).
Then I'll be impressed.

@zangvang Canonically, he can't die. He's extremely resistant to damage if you notice the cutscenes and in the anime he suffers attacks that would kill most people but he shrugs them off
Resistance aside; he's also highly skilled so he can also avoid and counter most attacks

@cariboo14g I'll brief you then. Deadpool was part of Weapon X just as Wolverine, as such, he obtained a healing factor, but unlike Wolverine, it was faster and mostly mentally driven. There have been countless comic where are red friend has been decapitated, burned to death, stabbed with pretty much anything Deathstroke could find, including a spatula, and did absolutely nothing. Above that, it was also said in the comics that Deadpool was essentially immortal, since Death was in love with him.

@runescape9945 Well in truth: I've never ever seen Deadpool run out of power, however I've never seen Dante run out either. In theory Deadpool is supposed to be able to take as much damage as Dante but Dante has so far taken WAY more punishment than Deadpool ever has and has accomplished way tougher objectives. However this is a fight I figure would probably last for a while

Simple lock him in a room where he can't get out=the same as being dead. SO if dante uses devil trigger he gets more strength and place deadpool in a locked room where no one can find him :)
