@onquarter it can mean many things, the BOV spring is set too tight, the turbo psi is set too low for the BOV to be of any function....

at 5psi EVERY turbocharger is going to surge. learn to read compressor maps, and you'll see the magic correlation of pressure ratios, surge line, airflow at a given boost pressure, and efficiency. any turbo that is in its highest efficiency range at a certain boost pressure is not going to surge.

there are also BOV that make this sound.

the car is no longer turbo, it has a whipple 2.3L.

yo that is a sick mustang man. you should move your bov closer to your intake manifold and use a closer boost source for your vacuum line going to your bov. some nasty compressor surge going on. or is that you have a heavier spring and your only running 5 psi? wither way love the car just might want to fix that surge unless you want to buy another turbo

just make sure you plan it all out, it makes it go alot smoother. lol learn from my mistakes. and dont listen to poeple that says its going to be a pain, and that it cant be done. i am just finishing up my homemade turbo kit for my 2002 GT. not bad at all to biuld. the main thing is precise planning. think of every single aspect before you start. where you going to mount turbo, how you going to route your pipe, then you downpipe. are you going to have to move things around? i had to make an overfill tank for my anitfreeze, more the battery, relocate the power steering resivore and run new lines. you have to do a complete tubular front end. so its not hard...( next post)

Compressor surge..you should soften the bov, or put in a softer spring. Sounds to hard, it's venting but kicks back to fast/hard.
