I am Thabit ibn Harold i said shahadah in 2003 after investigating Islam . I was investigating Islam because Bush was marching into Iraq . and knowing my governments track record on reasons to fight wars i Investigated to see if there was a valid reason to oppose Islam. About 60 days later i was a muslim myself at the age of 49 and in the 6 years since then i have never found a reason to turn away from it Alhamdulillah So in closing i say Salaam alaikum

There's a lot of truth to that. I would have never started learning about Islam had it not been for the media. (as much as I dislike the media, they did make people wonder what its about, and some of us went looking)

this is how i came to Islam, Alhamduallah, almost exactly. Allah has brought Islam to America through the tragedy of 9/11. May the innocent victims of 9/11 find peace, may Allah judge those who killed innocents, and may the Truth of Islam shine through these unfortunate events.

in ten years or so Muslims will control these countries because Muslims spread they have more babies then the European countries do and now in Europe less people want to have babies but the Muslims do and that's why the french or Spanish culture will vanish soon. I still can't believe that governments are just doing nothing just look at Africa there is so many Muslims there that the Muslims say to the Africans you either convert to our religion or you leave and never comeback!!!

but, they are going to have babies anyway, whether they were in those countries, or in their own countries.
and the people living in the countries that you've mentioned have decided to have less babies, whether muslims were around or not.
and if the muslims practice their culture in those countries, the others are not forced to do the same, they can practice theirs as well. dont you think?

I am South African and I have never come across an Adult person that doesnt know what Islam is..they at the least know its a religion. Muslims are all over this place and we have more mosques here than most countries...you literally have a mosque or prayer room in almost every suburb...very very difficult to not know what Islam is over here. Surprised by his story about Jack.

I am not surprised because MOST Americans are closed minded about other religions and cultures. That is the honest truth. Because every American that I have met did not know anything about other religions or cultures. But I like the fact that some of them are willing to learn.

Salvation in Christianity is by dying unto sin. This is accomplished by being united with Christ in his death & resurrection.
Now tell me please in one sentence, like I did, how people are saved in Islam.

and, the comment that I'm referring to isn't this one! it is the previous one.
people are saved in Islam if they follow the teachings of God in the Quraan and in the Hadiths, no one is guaranteed of being completely forgiven for his sins in Islam.

2. "should" < i didnt say he should , because its up to him, after all , he's God !
All I'm supposed to do (as a slave of God) to pray to him and hope that he'll forgive me.
There is no guarantee that God will forgive them for sure, thats what will keep people away from committing sins.

Islam is self-improvement by means of self-effort, it leaves you in the quicksand. The Gospel offers God's way of salvation: by being one with Christ in his death & resurrection we are enabled to overcome sin. It is 100% God's work, not man's. Thus God gets all the honour & glory that is his due, and man gets none. This leaves no room for human pride and self-righteousness.

If I get a ticket for speeding and have to appear in court and ask the judge for forgiveness, what will he do? Will he say, you are sorry, therefore you don't have to pay the fine? And if so, what guarantee is there that I won't commit the same offence again?
