  • Interesting, I like it!

  • This song really works on a cello

  • Super!

  • :-)

  • i think i like it. i've got few of leah's songs on my ipod, i think they came from the old epitonic website. for the few naysayers, this is what the meaning of ALTERNATIVE is.

  • This is sooo great! Keep it up!!!

  • This is sooo great!

  • why do you have to sing like that? Just sing it, don't mess with it, it doesn't need it.

  • luci fer sure jah

  • What's with that last verse? Who wrote that?

  • I loved this

  • very nice i enjoyed it check out jim reeves and joni james singing danny boy its a fake duet i put togerher also check out my orginal songs you silly doggie & rocky raccoon the continuing story its the sequel song to the beatles song

  • damn.....

  • ...wow... big elvis fan, and i love it. thx.

  • Please.......no matter what this woman might do or sing, she is never going to equal Declan MacManus, and after all he wrote the song. And recorded it infinitely better. It is quite repulsive to listen to her, especially her singing.

  • She's fabulous. I think she owns this song, sorry Elvis.

  • congratulations! muy buena interpretacion ;)

  • Hey Lucibel, please post more vids! I love your interpretation of Green Shirt and would love to see more of your playing and vocals. i never thought cello, drums and vocals could be a rock band but you pulled it off baby!

  • Hey Lucibel, please never post a vid again!!!!!!!!

  • loved it

but if your doing the drums and the cello

who is that guy in the corner er on the ahem drums

  • excellent used to play the cello as a young lad great to see it being played for pop! thankyou!

  • I love this!!!

  • Awesome! Thanks for your efforts and for posting. Elvis fan since 1978.

  • good cello, horrible vocals. i don't the way her voice moves so much

  • I like her vocals

  • As well as the excellent cello line, it's beautifully sung with not just a straight vocal copy either but a proper personal interpretation, not to mention the extra verse (from 1:58-2.08) which I don't see elsewhere. (If you don't get this at once, listen again. It repays each hearing).

And I love her quiet smile at the end. The piece is played for enjoyment and that just makes it clear.

So why so many different cuts and takes, with and without the hat, with/without colour and so on?

  • the extra verse is on a demo he did on acoustic, not sure if it's in the Armed Forces version, but it's on the second disc of a Deluxe This Year's Model release.

As for the 12 year old, I'm pretty sure it's a short hand clock that's ticking seconds over minutes, but I like both

  • wht give a thumb down for an op[inoin

  • FRIKKIN SICK! that is awesome

  • excellent vid. love this song and this is a very original approch to a difficult piece. Not easy to pull off.

  • hehe

    Jacqueline meets Exene meets caffein.

  • She rocks the cello! Totally awesome!

  • This is whacky but well done, you cheeky Minx!

  • This is like a wart - it grows on you!

  • This version is just like love itself...

I can't stop listening to this...

    I have no idea...

  • You can please yourself but sombodys going to get it!

  • OMG! HELP SHE SMASHED MY WINDOWS!!! D:

  • i'd be worried and alarmed if the majority of folks appreciated your interpretation. raised on bacstreet boys and brittany spears, how could most fathom your artistry. from one musician to another, VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL

  • i am sorry but this is just awful. why cant anyone play cover this song and make it sound good? ITS SO GAY

  • This is very disturbing.

  • this comment is from some top 40 neophyte.

  • this is phenomenal!

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I had to watch this several times!

  • Wow. I'm speechless. Great performance and interpretation.

    More please.

  • This is just beautiful... I fucking break down and cry every time I here it...

  • Keep rocking sister! You are one badass cello player and you gave a whole new dimension to a great Elvis Costello tune! I look forward to hearing more. If you saw this video and never heard the EC song you probably aren't getting it, but she has done the tune justice and then some. I believe a real musician can take any tune, no matter the style and give it new life. This song is a great example.

  • Hey, that's excellent! Such an energetic version of a great song.... Well done.

  • thats wild

  • Interesting cover for a good song!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa

  • Excellent. Attempts at covering some Costello songs are more like attempts at remaking classic movies. You've very much succeeded in creating something superb. 5/5 stars :-)

  • Leah you rock! Any chance I might see a Mike Acerbo cover up here any time soon :) Let's Jam soon i miss you!!!!

  • this is one of my favourite EC songs I thought nobody could do it better ....wrong

  • I like this a lot....a fresh take on a personal favorite.

  • what the...you guys were in my basement? my booby traps? the guard cat? not so much with the defending?

  • fucking make me cry my eyes out! Amazing!

  • DIG IT! TIME TO INFECT.

  • DIG IT! TIME TO INFECT.

  • DIG IT. TIME TO INFECT.

  • cool ! How does her hat keep popping on and off !?

  • I've seen/heard L(eah)ucibel before. She's incredible! And a two camera shoot, nonetheless! Wow! This is really cool.
