Here is the proof that destroys Whites rebuttal that Psa 110:1 could have said adonai. HOW DID JESUS QUOTE THE VERSE? Did he quote it as christians believe or did he quote it as how Hebrew people have always read it? THE LATTER!
He didn't say "The LORD (adonai) said to the LORD (adonai)," he said "The LORD (adonai) said to MY lord (adoni)."
There is only one word used here, not adonai & the Hebrew for MY, it is all in one. If he said adonai the word MY would be excluded. He said adoni!
LOL White changes the subject to Isaiah when the point was Psalms in which the vowel pointing is IRRELEVANT because Psalm 110 uses the tetragramm---not adonai.
The whole Adoni vs Adnai has Buzzard missing the important bit about this text. Here, Jesus is affirming his pre-existence with the Father. Irrespective of the question of deity, it has the exalted Messiah in the presence of the Father before the world began. This pre-existence is denied by Buzzard.
@AbrahamicMovement I never argued it did, in fact I set it as a different issue in the post you replied to. If you cannot interpret comments I can only expect so much from your interpretation of scripture.
The pre-existence of Jesus as affirmed over and over again in the scripture and Buzzard's denial of it is a dogmatic presupposition, not the theology of the NT.
@AbrahamicMovement Not really, as the pre-existence of Christ in the New Testament is overwhelmingly explicit. You might find a way to read around the implications of this (e.g. pre-existent Christ through whom all is things are made), but to deny the Christology of pre-existence takes some serious mental gymnastics!
@AbrahamicMovement Well it would sort of oppose bth sides of this debate. It establishes Yahshua's pre-existence, yet also affirms that he is the promised Messiah.

@OnlineBibleMinistry a literal preexistence of the Son still does not mean he is the one God of Israel, YHWH.

@sexyarii what about a literal preexistence for the people of God like Jeremiah 1; 2Tim 1.9; Eph 1.4 etc...
